Travelodge Stoke Hotel

Overall the stay was ok, the room was clean and comfortable for a one night stay. However, I was very upset to find the car park was pay & display! This is the only hotel I have ever seen with parking meters in its own car park, and even worse I was not told before I arrived. The cost of parking wasn't much, but its the principle. Breakfast at Little Chef was good the next day. I would stay again

I stayed at Travelodge Stoke Talk @Stoke-on-Trent ST7 1UP , for a week on Aug '2008.It was my Business trip .I kept my personal and official laptop in suitcase zipped, locked the room and carrying keys with me went for shopping. Upon my return to lodge after two hours i notice room is clean. when i open my suitcase to email, i found my two laptops are MISSING. I complaint reception and lodge police complaint immediately. I booked to stay twice in one week, first as I was travelling south on the M6, second, later in the week, to take my kids to Alton Towers. It's not good for an M6 stop-over as it's ca. 20 minutes from the motorway and there were big queues getting back on the following morning. For Alton Towers it's OK as it's cheap and within 40 minutes. The rooms are fine, bashed about a bit but fine. Parking is no problem and the Little Chef attached has recently been upgraded. My son and I stayed here for an overnight stop on a Sunday night on our way up north. We just wanted somewhere to rest and this proved ideal, especially so as it cost us only £26 for a family room (this was a special deal – normal room rate is about £50). Like all Travelodges, this was a no frills establishment, but one which was fine for a short stay such as ours and did include two towels each, coffee making facilities and a TV (see photos).
