At the time of our stay we found the second floor being decorated. This was not mentioned at the time of our arrival, it meant a trip to the reception to be allocated a MUCH better room on the first floor.
Breakfast was excellent, both English & continental. We found the general decor WAS in need of freshening up, but the staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us.
The hotel is perfectly situated for shopping, pubs and eateries of many kinds, in all, once the decorating is finished then it is a hotel to be enjoyed.
