The Hotel is in a fantastic position only about 2 minutes walk from the Duomo, it takes a little finding though as it is up a narrow side street. The hotel is in the oldest residential building in Florence and the public areas of the hotel are very impressive and atmospheric. Another plus feature is that the hotel has a roof terrace with fantastic views of the Duomo.
On the debit side our room was rather disappointing. Although it was well equipped it was smaller than you would expect in a hotel of this class and didn’t have any character, it was rather like staying in a large cubicle.
Overall however the lack of character in our room was more than compensated for by the location and the building.
