Serenissima Hotel

Perfect location...just 3 minutes from Rialto Bridge and 5 minutes from St Marks Square. Just round the corner from one of the gondolta 'parking lots'...the gondolas parked up here overnight. Pretty painted furniture...lots of paintings by former guests on the walls...a bit 'different' and certainly ideal for our 4 day trip to Venice. Lovely shops nearby ...expensive but lovely to look at...excellent choice of restaurants not too far away. We loved Venice and would certainly stay in Serenissima when we return. Jan & Dave Febery

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The decor of the room is not remarkable and the bathrooms are a bit tired but the bed was comfy and the hotel itself has a good atmosphere. The people were friendly and the breakfast was fine. The location is very central.

We have just returned from a three night stay at the Serenissima which we found very easily using the map from the hotel website although I must confess to getting thoroughly lost on other occasions, particularly at night! We had booked on the net via a Venetian agency which had apparently failed to pass on our request for twin beds but our room was soon changed. we were glad about this as our new room was on the second floor whereas the first was several floors up with no lift. The hotel serenissima was a lovely hotel. The service was wonderful and breakfast was very satisfying. The hotel was in a great location - between pza. san marco and the rialto bridge. The room was charming and clean. i would definitely stay here again as well as reccommend this hotel to my family and friends.

the hotel is small without elevator but the staff is very willing to carry our luggage up to our room. the old lady who serves breakfast is very jolly. the hotels location is about 3 mins. to plaza san marco and 5 mins to the rialto bridge. the rate we paid for is worth it.

The Hotel Serenissima was our (parents, and three children ages 19, 17 and 13) introduction to Italy. We found the accommodations lovely, the staff pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast simple and elegant. I found it most charming when i opened the window in the morning and heard quiet footsteps and muted conversation of locals on their way to work. The operative word here is quiet/muted.... What a wonderful little hotel. It took us a while to find it once we got off the waterbus. Maps of Venice are not perfect. But when we found it, what a delight. The room was small with two twin beds. Everything was very clean; the bedsheets crisp and white; the bathroom immaculate. We had a large Venetian Chandelier in the room. Breakfast was good; the coffee could have been stronger but it was served so elegantly and with such graciousness, I didn't really care. A gem of a hotel, the family ownership really shows, courteous and helpful. Pleasant breakfast, rooms very warm and spotlessly clean. Centrally located, will always want to use this hotel when staying in Venice.

this hotel made me smile! all the walls are adorned with varied and somewhat random paintings. it certainly beats wallpaper..!given that it was a two star i was really impressed with it.the rooms were crisp and modern and the location unbelievably handy.and the fact that it was a family run hotel showed. breakfasts are basic but overall this hotel was quite charming...

We stayed here in mid-March and found it to be a very acceptable 2-star hotel. It is fine if all you want is to sleep and have breakfast. The staff were very courteous and quietly efficient -only had to ask once for an extra pillow.The room was adequate and although the bed was very hard, we still managed to sleep. The bathroom was very modern, very clean and included bidet and radiator.
