I have always wanted to go to Venice and I certainly wasn't disappointed. It is a beautiful, unique, and splendid city in every way. Booked with Thomson we flew with easy jet. East jet flight was comfortable and on time, although the mad scramble for seats is off putting. ... more

Great location but a little unfriendly.
We travelled to Italy in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary and made Venice our first stop. Finding the hotel was fairly easy to find by Venice standards but we were not greeted with any warmth at the front desk. We checked in with a rather surly, male front desk employee and were shown to our annex room by a nice enough young porter who's english was passable. The room was large by European standards and the bathroom was well equipped. I decided to take a quick shower to revive myself after the 12 hour journey and after a short... more
Nice terrace is good consolation for gloomy room
We were staying at the do Pozzi for the first part of our honeymoon, and it nearly fell at the first hurdle - they had allocated us twin beds! (Not the kind you could push together either - they were so far across the room from each other they were almost in different time zones). However a somewhat tense chat with the receptionist (customer service is not great throughout Venice - you get used to it) got us a new room in the hotel annexe which was much nicer and - hurrah! - had a big bed. As mentioned in the previous review, the... more
A Curates Egg of a hotel
My wife and I stayed a week at this hotel in May 2005. We had read the reviews on Trip Advisor and studied the brochure of the company that took us there (Crystal Holidays England). It seemed an attractive proposition. We were however somewhat disappointed though it has to be said that the fault lay not so much with the hotel but with Venice itself. We were well greeted on arrival and assigned Room 92 in an annexe about 200 metres from the main building. We had our own key to the entrance and the room up one flight of stairs.... more
too noisy
The hotel was in a good location but was very noisy and not charming or even attractive
Hotel DO POZZI is the BEST!
We stayed at the Hotel Do Pozzi November 4-7, 2004. When we arrived they informed us we would be around the corner in the new addition. The new addition has much nicer rooms with tubs not just showers. The rooms are more of a four star hotel than a three star. The bellman was the BEST we have ever experienced. The entire staff was super. As mentioned by other reviews a great breakfast and NO other hotel in the area offers rates as low as the Do Pozzi for the location and quality of the room. The restaurant that is connected to the... more
Great little hotel in the heart of Venice
My husband and I stayed at Hotel do Pozzi for 3 nights at the end of October. You can't beat the location! San Marco is a 3 minute walk, the Rialto is 5 minutes, the Accademia is a 10 minute walk, everything is very close! FYI--we walked from the hotel to the Piazzale Roma to get the vaporetto no.1 down the Grand Canal, and it took us about 30 minutes. The most convenient vaporetto stop to the hotel is S. Maria d. Giglio. We only took the vaporetto once, and we walked everywhere (and I'm 6 months pregnant) if that gives you any... more
You Won't Miss the Gym
Stayed 6 nights in the annex of the do pozzi. Room and bathroom small but well appointed. However BEWARE that if you stay in the annex, you have to walk up 4 flights of stairs. No elevator. At Euros 230 per night ($300!!( there ought to be an elevator. The lobby was to small for lounging. However the staff was nice and the locations was great.
Lovely Hotel in Venice
My husband and I spent a night at the Hotel do Pozzi prior to a cruise we were taking from Venice. The Hotel is in a lovely, quiet courtyard only minutes from San Marco Square. While the rooms are small, the atmosphere of the hotel, accomodating staff, and wonderful complimentary breakfast in the hotel's courtyard more than compensate for the size of the rooms. Without question, we would definitely stay here again!
Albergo Do Pozzi
Stayed at the Hotel Do Pozzi for 2 nights at the end of August this year. Wish we could had stayed longer! Excellent location, very friendly staff, clean rooms. Would recommend this hotel as good value for money.
What more can I say?
We stayed at the Do Pozzi for 3 nights at the end of August and it was everything the reviews have said. Great location, quiet courtyard, pleasant staff and value for money. Have recommended this hotel to our friends as the perfect place for a stay in venice.
