Select Hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. The location is perfect for sightseeing. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. Will stay there again.

Having looked at the hotel's website before booking, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the reality lived up to the blurb. The rooms are not huge but I found them a passable size by Paris standards and the cleanliness could not be faulted. The reception and sitting rooms are in a contemporary style and one of them has a range of interesting books if you want a browse. We booked a deal through Eurostar and chose this hotel, based on reviews from Trip advisor. I have to say that the whole experience was a fantastic one! Going for the first time on eurostar was great. Much less stress than the usual airport thing! The Hotel Select was just perfect for a city break. One week at the Select Hotel in Paris was perfect for me... its located so close to all major attractions that I walked and enjoyed the walking as well.... neat area, close to many restaurants and sidewalk caffes (you even have a couple of them right by the entrance), metro stops are 2 or 3 blocks away... rooms are fine, contemporary design, comfortable and clean, and the price is very reasonable since it includes breakfast.... so next time I visit Paris I would certainly stay there again....

This is a great hotel in the heart of Paris. My husband and I spend our 1st wedding anniversary there and have no regrets. The room was lovely with a view of the courtyard and fountains out front from our balcony. Breakfast was very satisfying. I find it hard sleeping in most European hotels as the noise between rooms and outside is normally high but this hotel has been renovated perfectly. We stayed at the hotel for a week. The staff was very nice and spoke English very well. Breakfast was included with the room--everything you wanted for breakfast they had. The rooms had character and were very comfortable. Close to the metro and the bus stops. Outside of the hotel door there are 2 cafes. The neighborhood had every type of store or cafe that you could want. The islands were within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any of my friends!!

I stayed at Hotel Select with my mum for three nights over the bank holiday weekend. Hotel Select was perfect for our stay. The hotel is in a fantastic location and is situated in a charming square just off the bustle of a busy shopping street. We usually stay at the K&K Cayré in Paris (see review there) but decided to try a different place this time. We went for Quartier Latin location (it's not St Germain as another reviewer claims) and were near good food places and connections and shops - the location is brilliant. Our one night turned into 2 because of a delayed flight, so we got to see two different rooms - each were charged at 205 euros, they were the 'better' rooms. A tastefully decorated and friendly hotel right in the heart of funky St Germain. The beds are super-comfortable, the breakfast croissants are worth waking up for and the windows open out onto the twinkling fountains and typically Parisian facades of Place Sorbonne.

The Select is well situated in an attractive square off the boulevard St Michel, only 15 minutes walk from Notre Dame. The public areas are attractive and the staff are welcoming. There is a bar and a TV lounge, although we didn't use either so can't comment on them. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. However, we were in a garret room on the top floor and it was very small! Barely room to move around the bed.
