I love this hotel. After enjoying it so much last year we returned this year and had an even better time. Admittedly the rooms are very basic and could do with a refurb but that didnt matter to us as the location is amazing over looking the sea and the staff especially Emre... more

The condition of the rooms are very very poor, they have not been updated for years. We found it very noisy from the working boatyard in front of the hotel. It’s a shame because the views from the balcony are wonderful. I guess you get what you pay for. We only stayed 2... more

My friend and I had a lovely holiday in Fethiye and really enjoyed our stay at Mediteran hotel.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were good value, had all the facilities and were clean. I thoroughly recommend it!

This is the most peaceful and calm hotel we have stayed at in Europe. It is about a mile out of the main town (1 Lira on the dolmus and they run every 5 mins or so), and although surrounded by a boatyard, there is no noise during the day. The hotel is not the best looking... more

Peace and tranquility
This was the most calm and relaxing holiday we have had in Europe! The hotel is out of the main town area and has boatbuilders yards around it, but there was no noise during the day. Having breakfast by the seafront every morning with the sea lapping at the shore was fantastic. Ok, the hotel needs modernising, but its clean and functional - you only sleep there after all! The pool is a really good size and there are plenty of sunloungers and parasols. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and all speak excellent English. Breakfast is typically Turkish - tomatoes, cucumber, bread, boiled eggs, olives, melon and drinks. We would definately stay here again and recommend the hotel to others, just don't be put off with your first impression!
loved Fethiye
Hotel Mediteran really basic, room was quite shabby, broken lamps, broken furniture and broken toilet, although bedding was clean and maid service was regular. Pool was great, not packed and didn't have to fight for sun lounger. reastaurant / bar was ok, although could have done with bit more variety at breakfast. Would certainly go back to Fethiye but wouldn't stay at Mediteran again. Shame it cant be refurbished as location is perfect, with easy access to Fethiye centre and Marina. Dolmus was really handy, very cheap and regular. Car rental company we used for airport transfer was excellent and will certainly use again.
Simple Perfection
I cannot praise this hotel enough! It might only be a 2/3* and yes it might not have all the fancy trappings of some of the posh 5* hotels but this hotel is without a doubt absolutely wonderful! The setting is magnificent and just far enough out of the centre to be peaceful but not far enough out to be isolated. The rooms are huge & have a very large wardrobe with plenty of storage space, there is a big bathroom, with a hairdryer - so my agonising over whether to take one or not was a waste of time!! - the rooms are simply furnished but there is everything you need and they are kept spotlessly clean & immaculate by the fabulous cleaners. All the rooms have a balcony or terrace with fabulous views over the bay & the boat yard (which is fascinating to watch). The bar & small restaurant are always busy - and not just with hotel guests - and the food is to die for, the chef is truely excellent and obviously has a passion for what he does. All of the staff, without exception, are very friendly, they're amazing, so polite and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. I do feel that I must give Ali a special mention though, after a trip out for the day he asked me if I'd had a good day and what I'd done & when I asked him the same he replied with a huge grin "today I got married" and when they had their celebrations at the weekend they invited everyone in the hotel to join them. He couldn't stop beaming, he was so proud & I wish him & his beautiful bride all the happiness in the world! As you can tell I absolutely love this hotel and cannot wait to go back!!
Loved the Mediteran
Wife and I just returned from a week in the Mediteran Hotel, Fethiye. Basic but very clean. Good food very reasonably priced. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location beside the boat yards( facinating watching the gulets being taken ashore and launched the old way). Easy access to town by Dolmush every 5 minutes. Will certainly be returning.
Lovely stay in Mediteran
First time to Turkey and can honestly say that we thouroughly enjoyed our stay in turkey and will definitely go back. I would even go back to the Mediteran, although basic this Hotel has a lot to offer if you are looking to 'Chill out' with wonderful views across the bay that you just couldn't buy. Most of the staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help you without being too over helpful. This is just far enough out of the town to be quiet and relaxed and close enough for you to to any number of day trips that you may fancy. Would recommend a trip to Karanchi (Not sure of the spelling) Beach - think it was 2 lira on the Dolmus and 1.50 Lire to get onto the beach - But well worth it!! And most of the restaurants offer good value but can recommend the 'Birlik' which is approx 2 minutes from the main supermarket in Fethiye - they do the best ice cream !!! I went there with my son and my mum and we all thouroughly enjoyed it, so if you're looking for somewhere nice and relaxed where you don't get too much hassle when you're walking in town I would recommend both the mediteran and Fethiye.
Great place to crash out.
We have stayed in Fethiye many times and in several hotels but we always try to come back to the Mediteran. The atmosphere is so laid back it's nearly horizontal. The staff & locals are helpful & friendly. I can't recommend this hotel well enough. There accomodation is basic and with few frills but it's clean and comfortable. Even round the pool it's quiet. Even catching the dolmus is easy, just stand by the hotel gate and the dolmus will always stop to pick you up. If you go into Fethyie try the Car Cemetry, the drinks are reasonable & the atmosphereis great (& gets better as the night approaches). One last comment., that view at breakfast in the Mediteran looking across the bay., it's worth every penny (Or Lira).
excellent value great views from hotel
We stayed here in September 2004, hotel with extras, great views of boat yard and bay, free use of canoes. Really friendly staff, especially Ali and Emre, would recommend hotel, shame they are building new marina within the next 2/3 years which will take away some of the charm.
small and quiet hotel
we liked this hotel because of the number of rooms which it has and being just a small hotel was nice and friendly and was in a nice place of fethiye. we are hoping to take are children there next year as it was so friendly and the staff was always keen to help if you needed anything. Fethiye is a nice place also to visit in the night as there are to really good pubs to go to if you are up to dancing till 5 in the morning they are called mangos and the banana club, really worth visiting if you are feeling down the really know how to have a good time in these pubs..........anyway thats all i have to say for now maybe next year my children will be doing the reviews ..............
loved the mediteran
hi, went to this hotel last year on my own for two weeks in june. Was lucky enough to meet all the people who live on the jetty, lovely brits who live on their boats and all there continental friends, some who stay awhile then move on to the next bay. Went back in september to the hotel and see everybody. The hotel is nice, well maintained, clean and the hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is next to the boat yards which can be fasinating, though they might be to noisy for some folk. Was in dalyan in june this year but went back to the mediteran to stay for five days to see everyone again, the hotel is about half an hour from the town , if you walk or a couple of minutes on a dolmus which stop outside the hotel. Fethiye is a nice town, with good shops and a great market on tuesdays plus there are plenty of boat and bus trips to keep folk busy.
Best visit in 9 since 1994
I was very pleasantly surprised, that on my 9th visit to this hotel since 1994, the menu has been greatly improved with an excellent choice. The rooms have been improved too. Their was a slight hitch at the end of the holiday which hopefully will soon be rectified. A must for anyone who wants to see Turkey in a traditional environment - not commercialised - and the boatyards which are extremely close are free entertainment (boats being brought out of the water and launched again in a traditional manner - possibly almost as they would have been hundreds of years ago!)
