Residence des Trois Poussins Hotel

My wife and I stayed in this hotel and both liked it. The room was an appropriate size considering it is in the middle of Paris and it is not an American hotel. The staff was reasonably friendly. It is conveniently located a short walk away from the St. George Metro station, Sacre Couer, Montmartre and good dining. I rated the hotel a "2" because the restaurant had a reasonable buffet breakfast, but no fresh fruit at all. We chose this hotel primarily because of good reviews on TripAdvisor. Stayed 2 nights from Sunday 9th October. Easy walking distance from Gard du Nord. Hotel smart from exterior. Reception area was elegantly appointed. Staff were courteous and helpful. Rooms (2 singles) were clean, well equipped and adequately sized. Furnishings were modern and fairly new (plasma tv etc) We even had kitchenettes (sink, cooker hob and refrigerator). We stayed at this hotel for 2 very jet-lagged nights and we enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious so that is always a pleasant surprise in Europe. The only complaint I had about our room was that there was some mold on the grout in the shower but it wasn't enough to make me feel uneasy about it. We throughly enjoyed our two nights at Les Trois Poussins Hotel! Instead of staying down in the heavily toured areas of Paris, we decided to stay here based on previous positive tripadvisor reviews. We were completely satisfied! We stayed in a superior room (booked for a good price on Expedia), which was quite large and had a kitchenette. The room was very clean and quiet. After all the raved reviews at this website, I was a bit disappointed by my 4 nights stay at this hotel. I have expected the room to be small but not this small. There is barely 2 feet left around the bed to walk on. It's like a closet even for a very small built woman from a very congested place like Hong Kong. We went to Les Trois Poussins for our wedding aniversary and were very pleased. We booked through Eurostar and got a fair price. Cost us only 8 Euros to get from Gard Nord station in a Taxi but could easily have gone by metro. Good location for the metro (2 minutes away) where you NEVER wait for more than 5 minutes for the next train which will wisk you straight into central Paris (and clean). After much agonising, I booked this hotel for my parents for their first trip to Europe. They spent 4 nights in Trois Poussin and raved about it. The service was friendly, with the staff providing lots of local knowledge of where to go and what to eat. The room was comfortable and the location was excellent. Thank you to other tripadvisor users, as it was feedback from this site that prompted me to book the hotel. Now I'm just trying to find a reason to stay there myself.

I chose this hotel as part of a Eurostar deal and was absolutely delighted. The trip was a birthday treat for my girlfriend, so we wanted somewhere intimate, chic, quiet (on a medium budget) but so that we could still feel part of the whole local vibe - this place was bang on target. A small tidy hotel with good local restaurants and bars. We spent 3 nights here in July and thourghly enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and the continental breakfast was good although the breakfast room was fairly small and some people had to wait for a table, although we didn't! Excellent location for metro (2 minute walk to St. Geotge station) and Sacre Coure, a 15 minutes to walk there.
