I booked this hotel after reading the reviews. And what a great little place. I had heard bad comments about hotels in Pairs, so I did my research. I would recommend this hotel. The breakfast was fantastic! We had a premuim tripple room and it was clean and roomy, bathroom was a good size. I little bit of a walk from gard du nord but it was still bearable walking distance with a wheelie bag. Ask for a room facing the courtyard as the main road can be quiet noisy. We stayed here for three nights in July 2008 and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. It is easily reachable from Gare du Nord, which was quite important having travelled on the EuroStar. The hotel itself is about a 10 min walk from Gare du Nord; so is no distance at all really. On arrival the hotel staff were very helpful, kind and welcoming and spoke fantastic English, which was very useful since our French was and is poor. We have just stayed at the Hotel Magenta Paris and thought it was great. The weekend was all about sightseeing so its location near the Gare d'Nord (we walked with wheelie cases) was ideal and you were just a minute from a metro (Jacques Bonsergeant) station so you can get anywhere in Paris. great price 99 euros. stayed 2 nights. nice location, close to Metro and two train stations. Breakfast was included, and very good. Hotel staff was helpful. Rooms were a nice size, quiet. Would stay there again!

Let’s face it – Paris isn’t the kind of place to expect hotel bargains. So when came upon the Magenta hotel on Venere.com for under 90E a night, I jumped right on it. What we found was a clean, modern and generally well run hotel with good public transport links. The room we got – albeit small but expected for Paris – faced the inner courtyard and was quiet 24/7. This was my second time to Paris. The first time I stayed at Hotel Le Marquis, which is a very nice 5 star hotel and I loved it. So I wasn't expecting much this time because I didn't want to be disappointed - but the Hotel Magenta surprised me and I definitely would go back again! I was travelling to Paris with my boyfriend and another couple for 3 nights/4 days. My husband & I stayed at Hotel Magenta Paris for 1 night. I booked the room for about 81€, including breakfast (rates in the summer seem much higher). The hotel is located one block from the Jacques Bonsergent Métro station, which is 2 stops away from Gare du Nord, or a 15-minute walk if you prefer. We booked a double room via the hotel website. We just returned from a 4 night stay at the Hotel Magenta, It was our first time in Paris and loved every minute of it. The Hotel was very nice, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was compact but clean with maid service daily. The buffet breakfast was lovely and breakfast in bed was offered free which is nice. The hotel is a 10 min walk from the Gare du Nord and 2 minutes from the subway. Booked this online with hotel direct for a decent rate of 99euro per night for 4 nights stay in March for a twin. Easy to find on Magenta Blvd 10mins walk from Gare Du Nord / or Gare De L'Est - excellent access to the city from here. Surrounding area is OK - perfectly safe to walk around day and night and still in the centre of Paris 10 mins walk to Republique. Stayed for 2 nights on Eurostar trip .Walkable distance from Gare du Nord with a case.Room comfortable BUT being on the front of the building it was quite noisy.The breakfast was self service and lovely-fruit yoghurt cereals cold meats cheese bread croissants plus choice of cooked breakfast-very friendly staff.Plenty of bistros-cafes near by for evening meal front desk staff very helpful
