Parc St. Severin Hotel

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for four nights during Christmas week. It was a wonderful place to stay: exceptionally nice and helpful staff; ideal location; comfortable, pleasant, quiet, well-kept room; and reasonably priced. The hotel staff arranged for a shuttle to take us from and to the airport, which was very convenient. We were able to walk everywhere from this location, tucked on a quiet side street yet close to everything. Highly recommended.

Excellent location. However: High priced for low quality of room, featuring: - Terrible odor from bathroom (not corrected during five days stay) - Burned lamps in room (not replaced during five days stay) - Very small room

We stayed at this hotel in June 2006 when we were in Paris for the French Open. For the price this is a perfectly good hotel. It is not fancy or terribly special, but it is clean and is in an excellent location if you are arriving via public transport. It is near several metro stops as well as located in a lively neighborhood. The connections to the RER and various rail stations is also very good. The location is also very quiet. My wife and I stayed for 5 nights. We loved this hotel. It was very central and convenient, and the rooms were nice. The neighborhood its in, St. Michel, is very lively and has lots of restaurants and shops. There were about 5 or 6 shawarma places in one corner, many Greek restaurants, some Chinese, lots of French restuarants. We had many options for breakfast, so we didn't have to pay for the hotel breakfast. We booked this hotel after all the rave reviews, and we were somewhat disappointed. It was not worth the price. The good things: the hotel is in a great location near St. Michel in the 5th district, close to the RER and several Metro lines (Cluny, St. Michel). I stayed here for 4 days in the first week of August. It certainly was a great choice for me to make as it was my first trip to Paris and I wanted to be in a 'central' area. One of the great things about this hotel is how conveniently located it is. Boulevard St-Michel and Boulevard St-Germain are just around the corner so there's easy access to Metro stations. I just returned from a 6 night stay at this hotel after searching for months for a hotel and reading these reviews over and over. I chose this hotel. After an overnight flight I was exhausted and when I arrived my room was ready and I did not have to fill out any paperwork. I cannot fault this place and cannot think of a better location or a better place to stay. Excellent service, spacious beautiful rooms with views of Eglise Saint Severin, perfect location near the Musee de Cluny, Notre Dame, Pantheon and Sorbonne. Right on the RER B trainline to the airport, so no fiddling around with Metro connections, just a 50 minute train ride away to Charles de Gaulle. Perfect in every way! And a beautiful breakfast too (though unfortunately not included in the cost).

I've just returned from a 4 day stay in Paris and cannot say enough about this hotel and its staff. I was travelling alone and got very ill in Paris, this hotel took excellent care of me and contacted a doctor who came to my room. After weeks of pouring over Paris hotels, I decided on the Parc St. Severin. What a wonderful surprise! I travel internationally and have lots of experience with hotels. I have to say, I would stake this as one of my favorites. Ideal location for getting around Paris. I only had a 24-hour stop over and was able to easily get on the subway and see some sights.
