Huge place and defo book the hotel bit,if you can.we went with onusair, and its hit and miss.Safety demo took all of 30 seconds, and in turkish, with a plane load of brits!!Transfer was ok,about 1 hour, and first impression of complex is that its huge.Nice room on the sixth floor, with stunning views over the bay.Room ok,could have done with a bit of sealer around the bath, but not bad.TV ok,but no sky news,Cnn and loads of turkish, german, russian, french and no radio.Masses of food, but none of it covered,so beware of the numerous flies on the meats.YUK.Only one toaster in the morning rush and that was on a go slow.We just stuck with bread and jam as scrambled egg looked, well,a bit iffy.If you wanted a cuppa after your evening meal, milk was like the holy grail, couldnt find it.No chance so had coffee instead, powered milk as well.Good fitness rooms, spa, and sauna.Pools ok,but the guys that give you your towels, were like the milk, hard to find. The weather for late september was lovely, and it was a nice break, but not worth 5stars.3.5stars at best.
" This hotel provided absolute luxury... "

This hotel provided absolute luxury at a very reasonable cost. Booked last minute and wasn't expecting anything near this good.
Rooms were very clean and spacious and the location was lovely - on a hill with fantastic sea views. Don't let the hills put you off as the hotel have a great facility of golf buggy’s which will take you to the door.
The restaurant offered a really good variety of hot and tasty food and the waiting staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The bars offered a good variety of drinks which can be a rarity on all inclusive. Helpful friendly staff in all of the bars - of which there are plenty. Be warned though the disco is not like your local nightclub - more of a beach hut playing Turkish music but well worth a visit.
I would definitely recommend booking into the a la carte restaurants particularly the seafood and Italian. Also make sure you get a Turkish bath.
Finally if you get a chance go on one the gulet cruises - well worth the money and a fantastic day out.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone and if you are planning on going have a fantastic holiday.

" I'm not sure the 2 star rating... "

I'm not sure the 2 star rating applies to this hotel - are you sure you have the right accommodation because this was anything but 2 star.
Such a holiday I will never have again. The food was great, the service was great, and the staff were great.
This is luxury of the highest level on a medium budget. We arrived at 4am and were greeted with smiles and sandwiches. Staff never harassed you but were always around when required.
Granted the food was not always labelled so you did have to play Russian roulette at times, but food was always plentiful, hot and edible and the sweet buffet was out of this world!! 3 a la carte restaurants included in the price and all 3 were exceptional.
The rooms were clean; we stayed in the hotel and had a sea view room, more like a suite which was cleaned daily.
Entertainment left a little to be desired but I have yet to find a hotel with decent entertainment and I certainly would not mark the hotel down for that.
Only problem we had was a Belgium conference was present at the hotel the same time as us and we found them to be very rude to staff and guests alike, hardly the hotels fault.
However on the last night of the conference a party was held for the whole conference beside the pool, this excluded guests who were not part of the conference, so therefore left you with no where else to go near the bar except in the bar area - not ideal on hot nights.
I would re visit this hotel every year, if only I could talk my hubby in to it - doesn't like visiting the same place more than once!
P.S. the complex store was exceptionally expensive; make sure you pack plenty of sun cream and essentials.

Firstly, I've never stayed at such a clean hotel! Secondly, the management have invested in decor, landscape and furniture that makes you feel you are in a special place. All the waiters were happy and eager to help even if their English wasn't perfect! Turkey is a very welcoming place full stop.
The whole development is very sympathetic whilst being modern and spacious. Food was always fresh, varied, hot and tasty; there really was something for every appetite available! The room was always cleaned and tidy, with fresh towels/linen every day; and yes if you wanted to walk everywhere there are many steps down from and back up to your room but you don't have to walk it - order a little club car and let that take the strain. The hotel rooms meanwhile had amazing sea views!
The Thalasso spa is a real gem - a haven that sets this hotel apart. The staff were all very pleasant, helpful and passionate about their art, and I had 4 wonderful massages!
If I have to criticise anything I guess it would be the presence of children; not many admittedly as it was in term time. But as a 36 yr old without children and there with a friend for a week of girlie gossip and relaxation this won't constitute a criticism for everyone. However I think this hotel would do well as an adult only or couples venue. And the guest relations staff were almost too attentive ensuring you had a good time!
I'll definitely go again!

I Stayed at the Yasmin hotel with my friend last July, we had booked for a week, with the Heath Spa package. Already pre booked. When we arrived at approx 6am, the staff welcomed us and we then got a ride in a golf buggy to our room. Our bags were brought up on a separate buggy.
The food was amazing a wide range of everything to suit all diets, for breakfast lunch and evening dinner. Also on the all inclusive package you get as many drinks as you like. The pools were great, the jetty had cushions on where you could lie all day with steps going into the water. The Fish Bar 2 minutes walk away where you could ask for a drink, then in the afternoon, melon and ice creams in the snack bar, all inclusive.
The hotel laid on great nightlife with activities to suit all, throughout the day there were the entertainment team keeping the kids happy and even the adults. The spa was amazing such good service, The Turkish Bath was fantastic. The hotel lays on boat trips, a speed boat takes you to the weekend markets where you can haggle on bargains.
I would recommend this to everyone you want a relaxing hotel break Yasmin is the place to go. Overall the Service was fantastic, the staff were friendly I’m giving it 10 out of 10.

" I must say this complex is absolutely... "

I must say this complex is absolutely outstanding, the food was great and it was quite a way from all the rabble and dross that you will find in most parts of Bodrum.
The market which is a couple of miles away is also worth visiting which is on Saturday and Sunday. If you are prepared to put up with the long journey (2.5 hrs) then just book it you will not be disappointed by any means.
One other main point is, because this hotel has only been available in British brochures this last year, you will find that most of the people are wealthy Russians and Germans, so don’t expect the queens English to be spoken much. Enjoy.

" Having viewed the hotel Yasmin Bodrum... "

Having viewed the hotel Yasmin Bodrum on their web site my wife and 9 year old daughter were looking forward to a half term break.
Unfortunately what you can’t see in the glossy pictures is the quality of food and service both of which were no more than 2 star.
The food was not labeled so you didn’t know what you were eating, it was always cold and inedible, tables were not laid, you were never asked if you would like a drink etc, etc. Room service was poor, no loo rolls, beds were poorly made, floors were not cleaned etc, etc. Service at bars prepare to wait and then wait.
There appeared to be a lot of staff but they didn’t seem to do anything. All in it was a shame even though we enjoyed the break the Yasmin did little to make any effort to make our stay memorable for the right reasons.
