Sana Estoril Hotel

Traffic noise day and night at the busy junction in front of the hotel, with wailing ambulances every few minutes, barely silenced motorcycles and music blaring cars, buses and lorries. Noisy Friday & Saturday discos until 5 a.m. Breakfast o.k. but dinner not up to much. Staff gave the usual Portugese friendly, efficient service, though.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights last week. It is very clean and the staff are friendly, but if you are staying over the weekend you will need earplugs to cover up the noise of the local outdoor nightclub. I would recommend this hotel, as it is good for it's price bracket, but just be warned! 4am isn't my preferred bedtime!

Spent 2 nights during Euro 2004 football festival. All in all quite acceptable for a short stay, say as a base for visiting Lisbon and coastal area. Good points: very clean modern room with air conditioning that works- bathrooms fine although flimsy toliet seats are challenging! Staff and breakfast OK - clearly part of a chain. Very well located if you want to get easily into Lisbon - 3 min. stroll to station with excellent modern trains every 30 min. Restaurant on 4th floor with great views over sea and Estoril / Cascais. If the room doesnt stink, then the view is horrible or the toilet cover will hit your back when trying to do your necessities. But if you are happy not to have all these problems, then you'll have the shower falling in your head three times per morning or the hot water being cold. Fitness room or indoor swimming pool - just a dream! Air conditioning- a disaster!

Hotel Paris Estroil is an oustanding nice, friendly hotel with är lovely view. We had three weeks at Hotel Paris feb-mars 2003 and will be back in 2004. The staff realy knows how to take care of their guests!
