Senhora da Guia Hotel

Indeed very nice hotel, very friendly staff BUT........... walls between rooms in new wing are made of paper. You can hear EVERYTING from nextdoor rooms, tv's, conversations, bath/shower, toilet (YES). Doorlocks are made that you have to slam the door when leaving the room (hearing 20 doors slam when people go out for breakfast, returning from breakfast etc. is no fun when you are trying to sleep). We just spent 4 days here and had a lovely time. The staff and service was excellent. The food was very good. Wonderful breakfast included with the room. Dinner and lunch were pricey but very nice. You could eat on their outdoor patio which has a lovely view of the sea. The location of the hotel is a little out of the way from the excitement of a city. They are on a wonderful bike and walking path to beaches and Cascais. The room was very nice, but the carpet could use some updating.

We stayed here for 5 days as part of our honeymoon this year and really really enjoyed it. Our room had a balcony with sun loungers on and looked out towards the sea. The room was spotlessly clean, the pool area lovely and the breakfasts amazing (the fresh fruit and home-made cakes were the best bit). It is a few minutes drive from Cascais centre but as we wanted somewhere quiet to relax and had a hire car this wasn't a problem. Everyone said how well we looked after this holiday which I put down to the comfortable bed and the lovely food.

Excellent hotel, very nice rooms, great service, great bar. and quite enough. Also a great fish restaurant just across the main road. Golf resort very close. Parking not enough on high season.
