Roma Hotel

Just returned from a very enjoyable stay in Hotel Roma, Lisbon. It is a lovely hotel. Our bedroom was clean and spacious. The food was very nice and reasonably priced. The staff were great and very friendly with the exception of a certain bartender who gave the impression that he didn't want to be there - an occasional smile wouldn't have gone amiss! The only disappointment was the swimming pool. It was freezing cold and with a depth of 2 and a half feet it should have been described as a paddling pool. Very nicely finished room, with comfortable beds, a seating area, and a balcony to watch the world going by. Only thing it lacked was in-room tea/coffee facilities.

This was my second stay at the Roma and I am glad the standards are still the same. The rooms are spacious, cleaned daily. Nice mixed breakfast choice, cold meats and cheese, cereal, various fruit juices and warm choice of scrambled egg and bacon (sausage 1 day ). The hotel is about 15mins from the airport by bus 1.5 euro or taxi at 7-8euro. There is a metro 200 yards from the hotel which will get you around the city quite easily,for 6 euros you get a 10 journey card. This hotel is about 5 minutes from the airport. The neighborhood behind the hotel is rather if-fy, but the hotel itself is outstanding, for the bargin price of 50 Euros. This included a hot breakfast, plus all the cold offerings too. The rooms were spacious, modern, and clean. Big beds. stayed here for 2 nights on our tour. Access to central lisbon easy on metro located nearby . Local shops also nearby . Room was fine but breakfast was very busy and not easy to find a table or get to the food. Staff efficient and helpful.

located in a very good place, near the subway station and a train station it is very easy to go to every place in lisbon, sintra or cascais. good breakfast. not good sound protection, from your bathroom you can hear what your nieghtborough is doing.... terrible water in the shower: poor too hot water. if you are looking for a good location hotel this is for you.

Roma Hotel is a very good hotel, near the center of Lisbon. I've stayed there sometimes and i think it has a reasonable price, a good assistance, breakfast and meals. It's a very good choice if you want a nice place to stay with a acessible price.

Hotel Roma is a well-kept, clean and modern hotel with up-to-date, large and comfortable rooms. Installations include air conditioning, elevators, and a swimming pool, as well as a gift shop in the spacious lobby. The breakfast buffet (served in the large restaurant in the basement) is quite above average. We booked this hotel off the net and some old travel guide that my wife found. It seemed reasonably priced and easy to reach from the Airport. It was a complete let down!! There are no elevators in this really old building. The entrance is right next to a barber's place and it resembled a red-light area in Amsterdam! We were given a room on the top floor of the hotel. We lugged all our luggage up in the heat and then realised that the room had not been vacated yet. There was stuff strewn around everywhere! The windows were open at the back... more

My wife and I stayed here for one night when the place we booked (the Pensao Lar do Arreiro up the street) turned out to be a dump. We should have stayed here in the first place! The largest room of our European vacation at one of the lowest prices! The restaurant is excellent, too-- and quite reasonable. The staff seems a little reserved-- not the friendliest in the world.
