We stayed here for 4 nights B & B whilst visiting daughter.Had stayed here several times before but had not been back after a bad experience 5 years ago.
However we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel has now been taken over (we think) by a Spanish company"Barcelo".
Reception staff were pleasant and helpful and spoke good English.
Our room although a little tired, was clean and very roomy.
Although quite a walk from reception and the dining room, the bonus was watching the squirrels playing each morning!!
Ask for a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the garden,otherwise you'll look out over the car park!!
Plenty of choice at breakfast and very attentive staff.
One neg thing...they ran out of grapefruit segments for two days!!!
Overall I would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend it.

Really disappointing stay!! I booked after viewing the rather deceiving website for this hotel and want to let other potential customers that what you see on line could not be further from the truth!
Reception staff were unhelpful and blatantly disinterested!
Rooms were like stepping back into the 80's they were that dated!
Food was poor and overpriced.
Please think twice before booking this hotel especially if it is for a special occassion as you will remember this place for all the wrong reasons!
