Fosse Manor Classic Hotel

Me and my husband have just returned from a two night stay at Fosse Manor, Stow on the Wold. We booked the room through laterooms.com and saved over £70 for dinner, bed and breakfast per night! Unfortunately, we could not book the weather as it poured down! Fosse Manor is located just one mile south of the village of Stow on the Wold. Read reviews about this place, outside is lovely country house in good location just south of Stow. Room was small but recently painted with a dvd player and some films to borrow for free at reception. Room was noisy as had chimney from kitchen right outside, asked to see another room but was shown tiny top floor one- cute but i would bang my head all the time! This hotel has been recently refurbished in an elegant but modern style - very nice! The bar / restaurant are very tasteful, although I would say the bedroom (superior on the ground floor of the annex) was a little bland, except the stylish cream bathroom which I couldn't fault (except the noisy plumbing!). Bed was very comfortable but squeaked so badly it did it's best to ruin any romantic moments! I thought it was overpriced - for example for this sort of money (£165 B&B) I would have liked to see an option for breakfast... more

We stayed for 2 nights at Fosse Manor exactly two weeks ago for our 1st wedding anniversary. We were VERY impressed with the hotel. The rooms were of an excellent standard, we stayed in the Deluxe Double room with a four-poster bed. We ate dinner in the restaurant on the 2nd night and were very impressed with the quality and presentation of each course. The staff we friendly and always on hand to help out with anything we needed. We'd recommend this hotel to anyone and would definately return. Jim :)

We stayed here after reading some lovely reviews on tripadvisor. We were put into the Coach House after requesting a Superior Room the day before arriving. I have to say that the room was absolutely gorgeous with luxury fittings, an enormous bed,(best night's sleep I had in ages!!) huge bathroom with a lovely claw leg bath and seperate shower. On a busy road - and yes - you can just about hear the traffic (no other reviews had mentioned this when we booked - probably because it wasn't really an issue) But....that's the only but! Huge, comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Really great communal areas. Our deal included dinner as well as breakfast - and it was fantastic! Food was superb - fine dining without having to go anywhere on a cold rainy night - bliss! Breakfast also really good - would certainly recommend.

Stayed for 2 night break and could not fault the service. Room booked originally seemed to be the Coach House, which was separate from the hotel. Asked to be put in the main hotel and this was accommodated. Lovely big room. I have gluten intolerance and staff all seemed to be aware in restaurant and came up with suggestions for each course. Food was delicious and staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

A great hotel with accommodating staff set in an ideal location for exploring the Cotswolds. We arrived at 9pm having travvled two hours to get there, on check-in we were told that there was a Christmas Party in the hotel that evening and there was to be a Disco. This is a very charming hotel in a great location. Stow on the Wold village is about a 15 minute walk up the road (5 minute drive) but the hotel has a very agreeable bar and lounge should you wish to have a drink. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was a good size, very clean and well presented with tea and coffee making facilities (fresh coffee, not instant).
