Hatton Court Hotel

This hotel should be avoided until they update their facilities and improve the quality of the food. We booked for 3 nights over New Year and left early on New Year's Day in embarrassment at having booked such an inappropriate hotel to meet and stay with friends. The hotel is uncomfortable, unappealing and tired. Don't be fooled either into thinking this is right in the Cotswolds - you only have to open a window to hear the constant hum of traffic on the M5!

We booked mid afternoon via Laterooms, having made a quick decision to take a post Christmas treat. Only a couple of hours from home but just the scene & mood change we needed. Lovely setting, great picturesque old building. We chose an executive room with a huge bed and spa bath. The only very minor drawback was that we had to go outside to get to the restaurant. After reading the reviews on this website I decided to book this hotel for our anniversary. We had a four poster superior room which was very reasonbly priced, much cheaper than the website quotes so go direct to the hotel to book. Room very spacious and lovely. Only criticism is the price of the meals in the restaurant, would be better to book dinner, b&b if you want to eat there every night. We spent a very memorable weekend at Hatton Court. We had booked a superior room, which we noticed didn't have a mini-bar (not a major problem!) but thought this was suposed to be included. The room looked a little tired but still lovely and cosy... jacuzzi bath was an added treat!... but no shower curtain - strange! The food on both evenings was great, and we had a lovely Russian? waiter who couldn't do enough for us! in fact all the staff we encountered were great.
