The Agoulos Inn is a laid back friendly place with a beautiful view over the sea. You can quite soon feel part of the family as it's a very family loving place, friendly & helpful. Our rooms were cleaned regularly although the complex in general I felt needed a bit of a spring clean in some areas. We soon felt very safe and secure, not just at the Agoulos but in Argassi in general. Our first negative was the rather long walk to the first, and most expensive, supermarket, [about 15mins at a steady pace, which you can only do in 90+ degree heat] being self catering, two middle aged ladies found carrying the basics [water, milk etc] a bit of a trek, although, Steve Gemos, a regular visitor to the Agoulos, was a lovely man, very helpful, offering lifts etc when my daughter needed to visit a Doctor. Being quite a walk from the main shops & bars however, did mean we had peaceful sleeps, the bar was open for the night owls till late but sensitive when it came to the music volume levels. My daughter [18] and her friend quite happily made the 20-25min walk to the Magic Mushroom Bar every evening, which only gets going about 11.30 and , as I said before,after the locals put our minds at rest, we were quite happy for the girls to walk back to the Agoulos in the early hours. The 'Green Frog' has various things going on each night, while we were there, all week was two for one on certain meals which was great, the food was good too, plus the attached supermarket next door was handy. Good food: Premier, Granada, Piccadilly, Zorbas, Green Frog. avoid the cruise around the island, boring,never felt as ill in my life, just wanted it to end, loads of people slept through most of it. just take a small trip to the shipwreck, blue caves etc. Expect friendly but 'basic' & you'll enjoy your holiday.
