The Feathers Hotel is of a high standard of accommodation and service. On arrival at the hotel, the friendly and attentive staff greeted us and ensured that everything was to our satisfaction.
The restaurant was delightful although a little pricy. However there are plenty of bars and restaurants locally. You will find that a lot of the food has been grown/raised locally.
Ludlow is often called "the perfect historic town". Situated on the River Teme in the outstanding countryside of the Welsh Marches, its medieval street pattern survives almost intact, along with many ancient properties including a magnificent ruined castle and one of the largest parish churches in England. There are over 500 listed buildings in the town
It really is beautiful historic town which is great for a long weekend! The old Market and the castle is a must! It has some beautiful walks by the river too!

Tired and dated and shabby. Was once a luxury hotel but definitely not now.
In dire need of a refurbishment. Be prepared for long flights of stairs (5 for us).
Food is mediocre and overpriced. Service is friendly but inefficient.
Don't bother!

We had a night at the Feathers with some friends on the Travelzoo offer to celebrate my birthday. We found the hotel to be excellent and enjoyed sampling the gin, a very nice evening meal and an excellent breakfast. For what we paid it was fantastic value for money and if we get the chance we would certainly visit again. If we had paid the full price that was more than double what we actually paid, I may have been disappointed.
