The room was lovely (a junior suite) and everything about the hotel was clean and friendly with a lovely pool BUT don't waste your money booking half board as the food was mightily disappointing - who wants to go to Greece and eat luncheonmeat as part of an 'American Style Buffet' (beware - they call it ham) when around the corner there are loads of lovely tavernas selling gorgeous Greek food and Greek bakeries with delicious baklava and other pastries which are MUCH nicer than those sold in their supermarkets for the tourist. Avoid tavernas on the seafront which are all vi-ing for your business and speak to the local people for recommendations and eat where they do for quality and value. Lolo's was fantastic and served absolutely superb fish.
My main complaint about the hotel is that there was no atmosphere and nothing going on by way of entertainment - the bar - which has a lovely view - was deserted. Maybe I got a quiet week, but I think that people went elsewhere for cheaper drinks.
Can't recommend Santorini enough - absolutely perfect for relaxation and SO beautiful.

I holidayed at the Venus Beach hotel 2 weeks ago and absoloutely loved it!!! The hotel is superb with its location right on the beach! The staff are very friendly, together with the cleanliness of the hotel and the facilities, and the food was just excellent! I highly recommend the hotel to those with or without families to enjoy, relax, and completely chill out.
I will be definitely visiting the hotel again very soon for its first class service!!!!

Myself and my family arrived at the Venus hotel to what we thought was lovely and very clean. We checked in and went to our room to find there was only two beds for four of us, not a problem we thought maybe just a mix up until we went to reception to tell them what had happened (it also happened to other members of our party) we were told to 'deal with it' luckily it was sorted after an hour or so of complaints!!
The food was okay not much for children to eat though, also no high chairs in the venus breakfast room, my daughter had to sit on the floor as she was not big enough for the table and chairs. Which we found a problem in most of the restaurants in Kamari. There was no entertainment throughout the day like pool tables, so the days seemed to drag, it was very relaxing and perfect for couples but not for young families, my son was very board!! The only other problem i found was that we had no balcony, which wouldn't normally bother me but my daughter was sleeping for around 3-4 hours each afternoon, i had to sit in a dark room and wait for her to wake!
Santorini is very nice, but we have a small child still in a pram, so it was very difficult to travel to other parts of the island due to cobbles, steps and hills. So we didn't see much of santorni. We also found it very expensive, so take lots of euros!! Kamari itself is very nice although the beach is cobbles and not sand!!!!
All in all we did have a lovely time, although i wouldn't return with young children! If you are going as a couple you will have a fab time! We were in Santorini due to a wedding which was very nice, the views were amazing. The weather was lovely too!!!
