Sana Classic Executive Hotel

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sana for 2 nights in Nov 05. We arrived at the hotel 11pm on our first night, and the manager wasn't available to check us in. The very friendly night staff offered us drinks from the bar at no charge while we waited - which ended up only being 5 minutes. The staff at this hotel bend over backwards to make sure that everything is perfect for your stay. If they see you coming they will open doors for you. The room was immaculate, no complaints at all. Me and my girlfriend booked the Sana for 70 Euro per night and were pleasantly surprised to find a clean hotel, with a - in my view - quite unique interior design (all tables, beds and the like are made of dark metal.) The breakfast buffet was simple, but quite delicious (ham and eggs, several sorts of bread, muesli, but not that much choice in the meat area. However, nice and fresh fruit salads!) I booked the Sana Executive Hotel after reading the reviews on this site. The hotel is basic and not as exciting as it appears in the pictures. It is clean though!!! Breakfast is provided, but I skipped that. The staff is very friendly and helpful. However, I would have liked to be in a more central area of town. We ended up taking a taxi to get into the city centre and other areas. Luckily, taxis are very affordable in Lisbon! This being said, I still prefer to stay in the heart of everything. Good hotel, close to transport systems. If you are going by car, you’d better call and ask exactly how to arrive there because it is not easy (the street it is alsmost closed to cars). The hotel has good quality, including breakfast, room and services.

Just returned from Lisbon a few days ago. Stayed at the Sana Executive Hotel mainly due to the positive reviews that were written on this site. I am pleased to confirm that reviews were accurate. Wonderful hotel staff, lovely location (quiet and residential) lots of pasteleria nearby that serve good coffee and pasteries. Breakfast buffet is generous and offers lots of choices. This will be my hotel of choice for my next visit to Lisbon.

We stayed at the Sana Executive Hotel in Lisbon during March 2004. The staff were very friendly and for the rate we paid over the internet, it was very good value having included a breakfast buffet in the deal. The location is OK- situated in a commercial-residential area of Lisbon it is a 5 minute walk to the San Sebastian Metro station and a 10 minute walk to Parque metro station.

The hotel was spotless and the room was fairly spacious but the bed was HARD. The staff were helpful. We had to change rooms because of a terrible smell of bad drains in the en suite but everything was ok after that. A good 15 minute bus ride to the centre of town. Taxi to the airport only ?10.

My partner and myself spent a happy and memorable two weeks in Lisbon, Portugal last december 2003. We stayed at the Sana Classic Executive Hotel. We both found this hotel to be very very pleasant , the rooms in our opinion were spacious, very clean and comfortable, with lovely decor!!!. The buffet breakfast was a special treat and very good value for money. I was quite happy at this comfortable, friendly, and helpful staff hotel. The breakfast buffet was a treat every morning.The street the hotel was on is cozy and right in the middle of Lisbon.Would love to go back!

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The rooms aren't huge but comfortably spacious. The bathrooms are compact but very clean with nice granite/marble surfaces. The staff are knowledgable and very polite.The breakfast room is a bit on the small side but light and airy. It opens out to an outdoor 'courtyard' with a big palm tree in the middle. (This wasn't opened when we came though).The most intriguing thing about this hotel is the decor. You don't get the full impact until you reach your floor (via a very small lift) where you're met... more
