I won a night’s half board (with a bottle of wine) stay here through our local newspaper.
Fab Luxury.
We pulled up and the doorman took our car to park it. A roaring fire was in the hallway with the hotels dogs wandering around. It's a country set hotel.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff; the food was out of this world. The bedrooms were very palatial.
The grounds were stunning for walking.
If only I could afford this as a weekend break. It was £545 for 1 nights stay; we had a 3 course evening meal with a bottle of wine, 2 G&T's each, bed and then champagne breakfast the next day. If only... I'd be back tomorrow.
Only thing that it could do with is a swimming pool, still this hotel is for relaxing by the fire and reading the FT!
Still all we paid for was the G&T's, where's the next competition to enter?
