All members of our family have stayed at Hotel George in Nidri over the past 10 years, it simply is the best in town, no place will come near to it. The standards are very high, anything & everything is there for you.
The meals around the pool are superb, bar area excellent, delightful grassy laying out areas with sun beds & parasols.
The village, beach, tavernas etc are no more than a 5 minute walk away.
Everyone is friendly & helpful, all you will want to do is return next year & onwards, long may Maria & family continue to give us a good value for money holiday for years to come.

It was in June 2004 we stayed in the George hotel in Nidri had a fantastic time I was so relaxed by the time it was time to leave I didn’t want to go home.
When I get the chance I will be going back hopefully in the next 2 years, I can’t wait. I often ask people who been out there if anything changed and the answer is always no its still nice as ever. Hotel was first class village was plenty to see and do and the beach only a short distance away.
I have been to other parts of Greece since then but I still yearn to go back to Nidri to the George, I wonder if Maurice still there as all the others who help to make our holiday special.

I'm really surprised by previous reviews of this hotel. When we arrived at this 3 star resort, myself and the party I was with were very disappointed! The area by the pool was filthy, all the sunbeds and sunsofas were covered in mould and dirty. The rooms were tiny and poorly furnished. The self catering area had a plug socket next to the sink with no space to put a kettle. The plug sockets and phone sockets were hanging off the wall. Our balcony was covered in bird droppings (which they did clean up straight away). The bathroom door wouldn't open properly (poorly laid out)and the showers were consistantly cold.
We were eventually moved to the Santa Maura apartments, which were a 2 star apartment, but large, spacious, clean, with hot showers and free air conditioning and security box.
I would not recommend the George at all, I have never complained about apartments in Greece before and I have been all over Greece and to Nidri twice previously.
