Loved the hotel and its location
We had a short stay in Lisbon, a city we hadn't been to before, and I chose this hotel because of the family friendly references made in other reviews on this website and was not let down at all. We arrived in Lisbon on train at the Oriente station and the hotel was literally on our door stop. The staff at the hotel were welcoming and the room was pleasant. Breakfast was lovely and my son especially enjoyed using the hotel's spa faciliities. The area in front of the hotel was pleasant; nice shops and restaurants and a lovely water... more
Good Hotel in Lisbon near Oriente Station
My husband and I spent four nights at the Tivoli Tejo in December 2007; we stayed in a double room on the twelfth floor. The hotel is located five minutes taxi ride from the airport (there is no metro connection between the airport and Lisbon‘s metro system yet), which cost us 6 Euros each way. All the hotel staff we had contact with during our stay were polite and helpful, and our room was very much as we’d expected: spacious and clean, with tea/coffee making facilities, and a good sized bathroom. We were quite impressed with... more
The Tivoli Tejo Hotel was Excellent!
We had an F-16 reunion at this hotel and everything was outstanding. In working with the group coordinator at the hotel, she was very friendly and very helpful. We were able to make all the arrangements, set the menus, establish dates with absolutely no problems. Upon arrival the entire staff at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are very nice and clean. The two hotel restaurants were excellent. Our group would not hesitate to go back there again as this was probably the best reunion experience we have ever had. I... more
Good for seeing the modern side of Lisbon
This hotel was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Breakfast selection was huuuuge, from pancakes, to read, cereal. all of it was there. The entrance and pool etc was impressive, however, I was a little disappointed with the rooms, however that is only because I had previously stayed in Real Palacio., they were basic but they were clean, they werent 5 star or anything, There was a guy next door to us was snoring loudly, we couldn't sleep but the reception were kind enough to move is to another room. There's a shopping mall... more
great breakfast, great services
Had to go to Lisbon on a business trip, and this hotel was a 5 minute walk from where I would be working for a few days. It's a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport (5€ fare). The lobby of the hotel is small, and not all that welcoming, but the reception staff were very good. My room was on the 14th floor, but unfortunately I was at the back of the hotel, so all I had a few of was the train tracks and apartment blocks. Never mind: I was only there to sleep. The room was comfortable and a good size. Bathroom was nice with a... more
Qluaity and Class as expcted!
This hotel lived up to the billing on the tripadvisor reviews. It really was a class act. Clean , Smart , great location and views were outstanding. Room size and standard was very good. One little niggle is that no drinking water is provided other than via the minibar which i thought was a little tight. The Breakfast was outstanding and looked forward to the huge fresh tasty selections everday. It really made me fat!!! One thing to watch for is the car parking. the hotel car park is extremely difficult to negotiate and is... more
wonderful hotel for families
We enjoyed the Tivoli because of the service, cleanliness of rooms, and great location. We celebrated my son's 12th birthday here and were able to see all of Lisbon. Metro and train was directly across street , and so convenient. Breakfast was excellent. Shopping mall was directly across the street with great shops, good places to eat...Try portugalia and sr franca guia for chicken!!!! We even got to cinema. We were able to walk to oceanarium. I highly recommend this hotel for families. We requested a non carpet non smoking room for my son... more
Fantastic breakfasts, bueatiful rooms
I've now stayed twice at the Tivoli Tejo. The first time we were just going to stop over on the way back from the Algarve, but ending up booking extra nights at the request of our children. We loved the rooms; their decor, the views over the Vasco de Gama bridge and Nation's Park, and the comfort they afforded. We also loved the hotels proximity to the metro, to the park (with the Oceanarium, and Pavilhão de Conhecimento- Knowledge Pavilion) as well as dozens of cafés and restaurants. Across the road is a mid-sized shopping... more
Very Good hotel
I stayed at the Tivoli Tejo when I went on business in Lisbon. It took me 10 minutes, maybe a bit less, to get to it from the airport. Check-in was quick and the room was tidy and clean. Breakfast was really good. ITs in walking distance to the sea. I used to walk there each morning. Close by is the Vasco da Gama bridege which is the longest bridge in Europe and the Vasco da Gama tower. Exactly opposite the Tejo, a few metres up is the Vasco da Gama centre which stays open till midnight. Quite a big shopping complex that... more
Loved the Tivoli Tejo
We spent a long weekend at the Tivoli Tejo and were very impressed. The hotel is in an excellent location in the new area of Lisbon. Check in was efficient, all public areas are beautifully clean and the rooms are very comfortable and clean with gourgeous bathrooms. If you are not lucky enough to have a room which faces the river do as we did and buy yourself a bottle of port, take it to the lift area (the higher the floor the better the view) where you will see a domed window and a couple of armchairs, sit and admire the fantastic views... more
