The hotel is old so we didn’t expect it to be pristine but we were pleasantly surprised with the room it was very clean and quite big.
The hotel itself is steeped in history and in a great location for the old Havant pubs, which are great!
The receptionist was very helpful, however the breakfast staff were awful and in general there was a bad atmosphere at breakfast, though the food was bearable.
Nice little place for the price but I’d eat breakfast in the cafe across the road if I were you!

the bathroom was very dirty the sink had not been cleaned before we arrived, there was toothpaste marks on the mirror and the sink an bath taps had dirt an scum marks on them, the bathroom floor was really dirty and we have a 22 month old baby we did not want him walking around. we also think there is some paranormal activity going on in this hotel as me and my wife both were woken by the baby crying in the travel cot at the end of our bed as we looked there was a black mass standing next to him, as i turned the light on the black mass was gone and the baby fell right back to sleep, we will not be staying here ever again!
