Lismoyne Hotel Reviews
" This hotel is situated only 5 minutes... "
Submitted By: HW Happy
This hotel is situated only 5 minutes walk away from Fleet town centre. It is located in some nice surroundings, feeling quite secluded, even though its next to some houses (that look just as good as the hotel).
The hotel itself is nice. There is nothing that is really wrong with the layout or the decor, but nothing that smacks you as being amazing either, but everything is clean and tidy which is nice.
The room was very good too, with everything you would expect and some more. Chocolates placed on the bed every morning, all appliances like trouser press, iron, tele, kettle e.t.c. The shower was great and the bathroom looked very clean and new. The room size was good as well, I had a bay window looking out the front of the hotel which was nice.
The hotel had a great bar that wasn't terribly expensive and had a good range of alcohol and soft drinks. The hotel food was also very good. They also had wireless and internet access which was very easy to setup and use.
Now for the not so good stuff. The doors are very heavy and don't seem to be able to close quietly, hence every time someone goes out their room, everyone hears. The bed mattress was a little sunk in the middle (although it did seem comfy when I was on it). I was also just above the reception, which meant in the morning I was woken very early with the phone ringing constantly.
The breakfast buffet was ok, I think I have had better in a budget chain of hotels however. The coffee was always cold, and if you didn't go down early you got the impression you were just hassling the staff.
On the whole tho, a very nice hotel, only a few issues, which if changed would make it very good indeed.

Although I was initially impressed, particularly by the garden, the experience was not a good one.
Fortunately I had only booked for one night.
The room allocated was on the ground floor with doors opening on to the garden.
The windows would not open and the room was airless. The only recourse was to open the patio doors at night. Not very good for security. The patio had not been cleaned for some time.
There were a total of 12 comments which were presented to the manager including the above and a complaint about the breakfast coffee which was undrinkable. I note the other reviewer had a similar problem.
