Room was clean and tidy and hotel is close to the shops and nightlife
customer service was shocking the reception staff were abrupt and the resturant service and food very poor, we went to the resturant reception to be greated with "suppose you want a table" food was very pricey very bland overcooked and with the resturant only a 1/3rd full it took an hour on both nights to be served

Very good location in the centre of southampton, out of the way of the usual hotels, in the centre of a roundabout (but no need to cross it!). Quick to get to shops, bars and most amenities.
The rooms were excellent, well furnished and kept to a high standard. Great staff and service.
Highly Recommended, and sure will visit again!

Stayed like many others here about same time last year, we went shopping January sales. We were however disappointed with the downhill slide this hotel seems to have taken.
Where has the customer service gone, the Reception staff were abrupt and not really at all interested in us although were their bread and butter (so to speak!).
The rooms look dull and carpet in corridor was stained along with marks on the walls. The bed linen was dirty and bathroom bin was full up. We had to request another room, this was opposite the lift and the noise was terrible, again another move.
Breakfast was enjoyable but nothing as memorable as last year. It was sad to see this once bright clean hotel and very friendly staff have gone.

Stayed for two nights whilst attending a conference within the area, rooms comfortable bright and on first impression clean, however toilet and bath had hairs, and under the bed was mucky. I asked a young housekeeper to correct these problems which was done immediately. Breakfast was good and staff helpful. Good location for town centre, however the park opposite is a no go area at night (advice from staff).

My first impression a year ago was "wow". I have stayed here on and off Mon to Fri. over the last 13 mths via my company.
I have seen many staff changes and the unfortunate decline in the standards and service, which is a shame because 6mths ago it was first class.
The cleanliness of the rooms. Restaurant and food standards need serious attention.
Overall the friendliness and location is good though.

Having read the reviews we didn’t hesitate in booking, had good rate for room only, then discovered why.
The breakfast was very expensive for what was on offer, we must have stayed during a spell of staff shortage as tables were slow in being cleared and the Restaurant in general was very disorganised. Bar service was faster.
The room however was clean and spacious although the bed linen had holes!! And the room did have a musty smell, as if the carpet had been washed recently.
The maid was up bright and early as it was knock knock at 8-15am, even with the "Do not disturb" sign on display. The maid did not read or understand English we discovered later.

Met 3 other friends and stayed the weekend, shopping and Night clubbing.
Very nice hotel, Staff friendly and helpful, even at 3am on our return from night out.
Rooms excellent, very very clean and spacious, beds comfortable and bathroom shone as if brand new, only wish large bath sheets and not standard size towels were used.
Breakfast buffet style and was hot and fresh, even at 10.20am, just before closing.
Location excellent for shopping and evening out would recommend to all age groups and will return ourselves.
Thank you to all the team there.

Very warm and welcoming hotel. Staff excellent credit to Manager. Rooms very clean as well as spacious, comfortable beds and quite.
Breakfast was good choice of hot and cold buffet all self service but excellent breakfast supervisor lady and her team Pleasant surroundings near park and only short walk to shopping centre, train station, and airport.
Would definitely return.

I have stayed in the Jury's Inn in Southampton on two occasions. Once alone on Business in May 2006. I enjoyed it so much that I brought my family back with me in July.
While on business I found it to be perfect for my short stay in Southampton. I was able to meet with some customers in the bar area and in the restaurant for dinner. The room I got was perfect, very comfortable and clean and I had a great sleep. The staff were very helpful, particularly when I forgot to bring the charger for my mobile phone. They had a replacement for me immediately. A very productive stay.
When I brought my family back in July I was hoping that they would like the hotel as much as I did. It was better than I expected. We were met at the door by the General Manager, PJ Kenny, who entertained my two kids while I checked in. We got two adjoining rooms which gave my kids plenty of room and gave myself and my wife some privacy. Again the rooms were spotless and extremely comfortable.
Staff were very friendly to my family throughout the stay and there was plenty to do within walking distance of the hotel in Southampton.
Overall, I was delighted with both visits, would highly recommend the hotel and will be back for sure.

Wow what a find. Although 18mths old its being well looked after, still like new. The rooms are spacious and very clean the bathrooms still sparkle as if they were only a week old, all the staff are friendly and very helpful, the location is fab for shopping, airport 10mins away, train 5 mins and docks for the cruise departures 10 mins by taxi. Food was good and reasonably priced, only downfall was the smokers in the bar.

This Inn in the middle of the roundabout!!! Task and a half to get to.
The entrance was bright, checkin was fast but very mechanical, not alot of guest interaction even though we were the only ones checking in at that time, We were given a room on the 9th floor a small dark but compact room with a small window looking out to the office block opposite, The bathroom was bright and smart, but had hairs in the bath and on the floor!!! After a coffee and unpacked the case and listening to the staff talking outside the door we went back downstairs, I mentioned to the receptionst about the hairs and the staff only to be told, they go off duty soon, the room opposite yours in where they keep their trolleys, no mention about the hairs though.
We were impressed how close we were to the shops and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon in town.
Dinner was bland and not alot of taste to the chicken, veg over cooked, but the pud was delicous maybe because it was brought in Bannoffe pie.
8am the staff were back again outside, we had to open the door and request they move away but had to do hand actions as they looked puzzled, they didnt understand English.
overall disappointing
Breakfast had a large selection to choose from and was freshly cooked.
