Bartley Lodge Hotel

I recently attened a wedding at Bartley Lodge, I was impressed with the building as we arrived but this was shattered as I approached reception to check in. I was told very firmly to wait until she had time, not the best start. The room we were given which cost £130 was pathetic, it was very dated, tiny and the ensuite shower room was the size of a small wardrobe and didn't even have a sink, this was placed in the room. This was a lovely hotel tucked away behind trees, the room was a bit outdated but was a decent size. The restaurant here was the best I have been to, the food was out of this world. I still keep thinking of going back on the spur of the moment just for that. It is ideal if you have your car to get all around the New Forest, there are also tennis courts if you want to play. If you want a nice romantic weekend break this is ideal. I would definitely stay here again.

We attended a wedding and were surprised by the standard of food, service and cleanliness of the hotel. Staf were really freindly, would definatley recommend it.

Just a short break for a couple of days in the New Forest-we chose the Bartley Lodge (New Forest Hotels) autumn/winter special. A typical UK country hotel, ours was a small cosy room, we were amused to see ivy growing on the INSIDE of the window but heigh-ho. We were pleasantly surprised at the friendly service from the young staff and very good food at both dinner and breakfast. We throughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The food was excellent and the staff were a great asset as nothing was too much trouble.

My sister recently got married here. The food was nice, the reception rooms were nice, the grounds were nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bedrooms however were a disgrace. The bed was ROCK hard, the bathrrom a bit sad and the carpets had seen better days. There also seemed to be some sort of competition to cram as many different florals into one space as possible......our room surely won. At £120 per night I feel totally ripped off. It is near the forest (though nearer Totton than the real forest) so you expect a little... more

While the food was adaquate, the room was terrible. It was TINY!, the carpet was threadbare, and there were stains on the wall that appeared to be due to a leak from the room above. The furniture looked like it had seen better days, too!
