This is possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Makes Faulty Towers look like a nice place to stay!
We were unimpressed the minute we walked through the door. The lights in the corridor didn't work so made it very difficult to find our room and the doors were all propped open with fire extinguishers.
Our 'family room' looked like a double room with a shaky bunk-bed for the kids but it was so bad that I wouldn't let my children near it. The room was dirty all over and in desperate need of redecoration.
We went down to the restaurant to eat but came back with empty stomachs after bad service and the wrong food.
When asked about whether it was really a 3 star hotel (there was nothing official anywhere) the manager told us that official sign hadn't been displayed yet.
Nothing good to say about this place except that we left before even staying a night, 4 hours and we'd had enough.

Disappointing stay. The cleanliness of our family room left a lot to be desired, the bath was filthy, the shower head came off in my husband's hand and worse of all there was human excrement on the side of the toilet paper left in the bathroom.
Our room was over the kitchen and was constantly hot and noisy due to an industrial extractor fan right below our window, we were woken at 6.30am by a delivery and doors slamming and people shouting. The decor was tired and chintzy. The breakfast was ok. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening as they had nothing suitable for children.
The staff were friendly and the swimming pool was excellent. But we were so disappointed we left after only one night. Would query if this is worth 3 stars?

We have just come back from the Forest Lodge Hotel and I had to write. The hotel was very welcoming, in a good position and I can highly recommend it. Our room was a family room and quite perfect - a large double bed, flat screen tv, nice bathroom, bunk beds. There were duvets rather than sheets, which I liked as they are cosier. The room was very clean and quiet and the chamber maids even arranged our boys teddies nicely when they made the beds !!
The restaurant was good with freshly cooked food and friendly staff. The whole atmosphere was great. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order - a nice change from food kept warm under lights.
The swimming pool was small , but clean and certainly a pleasant surprise.
I was worried by some reviews I had read, but I think they were all from 2006, before the hotels refit. It was great to discover this little gem of a hotel and we will certainly be going back. I hope you enjoy your stay !!
