Brilliant Hotel & Location
We stayed at the Hotel Deloix at the end of July 07 for 1 week. Great rooms, very spacious, infact everything about the Hotel and holiday was brilliant. The Hotel is also in a lovely location, lovely views, about 1km from beach. Will certainly be going back again and full board next time.
deloix is deluxe
fabulous hotel worth every penny food was a delight; only trouble was the evening meal times were too late. 8.00pm when you are going out drinking after is not recomended rooms were spot on. staff were extremely helpful and curtiousand amenities were good. would recomend this hotel to anybody.
Brilliant pools
Had a brilliant stay at the Hotel Deloix. My 3 year old daughter particularly enjoyed it. The hotel itself looks very impressive, much more stylish than the skyscraper hotels you find in the centre of Benidorm. The room was modern and clean with a nice size balcony. The airconditioning could have been cooler, but it did work. The food choice was excellent, something for everyone, whether you are a meat lover or vegeterian. Even though there was a lot of continental meats there was also a british choice daily. The staff were o.k, not rude, but then again not that helpful. They did tend to favour the spanish guests. The best thing about the hotel were the pools. There is a large outdoor pool, which has it's own whirlpool, then a child's pool, around the corner, with lots of slides and animal fountains. In addition there are two indoor pools, one with a lazy river and the other with fountains and another whirlpool. There are also two hot tubs next to the indoor pools which were lovely to relax in when you wanted a break from the sun. All of the pools were spotless, and none became overcrowded. The entertainment was the worst part of the hotel. As some of the other reviews have stated the resident duo come on every night with exactly the same songs, in exactly the same order. Most of the songs having a five minute instrumental at the start, and hardly any of them recognisable. The location was also a bonus. It was very quiet, but close enough to the centre of Benidorm if you did want some hustle and bustle. Just a 20 min walk, or a 10 minute bus ride (a bus stops outside the hotel every half an hour). In a ddition there is a spa in the basement and a tennis court on the roof. If they did something about the entertainment you really wouldn't need to leave the hotel.
total relaxation
me and my girlfriend both late thirties stayed here for 4 night in may clean rooms, food ok,pool area ok plenty of loungers at the time of year we were there, going back again october the hotel does exactly what it says on the tin
Great hotel
We have recently returned from this hotel, we travelled in a group of 4 adults and 4 children, (all boys aged 5, 7, 7 & 8) It was a 1st travelling to Benidorm and to be honest we chose it because we got a cheapie......! the hotel was fantastic and they have made a real effort to make it family friendly, the facilities for kids were excellent, with a safe distance between the kids and large pool to avoid splashes. The Food...... we are lucky that we have adventurous kids when it comes to food, and will try anything, there was always plenty of variety and was of a decent standard, the dining room was a bit more like a canteen than a restaurant, and was quite noisy at times, but when they are serving a full hotel of guests they did a good job at keeping supplies up. The Rooms...... these were of a good size, with twin beds pushed together for the adults and a double sofa bed for the kids. still with space to move around, the rooms were cleaned each day to a good standard, the rooms were modern and soundproofed which was good as the entertainment is loud. Last but not least the entertainment was all geared towards the Spanish as the English were in the minority, which surprised me in Benidorm, but this made it more relaxing as around lunchtime, the majority went for a siesta so the pool was virtually empty for a couple of hours each day...... bliss. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who would like a cheapie holiday in a pleasant modern hotel.... Hope this review helps you make a decision on this hotel.
Great Hotel, great pools & amenities, good food, dire entertainment!
Just got back on the 12-08-07, after a relaxing fortnight at the Deloix Aqua Centre Hotel, 2 Adults and child of 12. The hotel is excellent pretty much accross the board, breifly though: Hotel generally: Very modern, very clean, everything working, helpful efficient reception, polite staff, bar and snack bar with loads of waiters, so never short of a drink! Free water would definately be a suggestion for improvement though! Rooms: Again modern, Spacious, air-conditioned, Fridge (coffee making facilities would have been nice), cleaned daily, towels replaced as often as you liked, nice marble tiled bathroom with hairdryer (for the mrs!) and again everything worked. large balcony. Pools: Excellent large main pool, very clean, water tested daily, lifeguard on duty (09.00 - 20.00). Two indoor pools with waterfalls, bubbles, jets and lazy river, with waterway access from outside pool. hot-tub and jacuzzi's. All excellently maintained, and although i'm no expert, I did notice pretty much everywhere seemed to be easily accessible by wheelchair. Always plenty of sun loungers available. Food: I really dont know what any complaints are all about in some of the reviews I read here, The food was allways excellent, fresh and well presented, loads of choice at every meal to suit ALL tastes, not just continental! including bacon and eggs etc available at breakfast. Other stuff: Good gym available with modern cardio and resistance training gear, and spa facilities inc sauna, steam room, plunge pool, jacuzzi etc (8 euros per session) also offered individually priced facial and massage treatments etc. Tennis court on roof (apparently - I never went up there), young childrens water play area with slides and chutes etc. and playground area. Indoor jungle gym and kids club type thing for the really young. Entertainment: The organised daytime poolside entertainment didnt seem to cater at all for kids between the ages of about 10 to 15, to old for the young kids stuff and to young for the plentifull adult entertainment which included, pistol shooting, archery, water polo, table tenis and pool. I concur with a previous review on the evening entertainment, that Duo Ambar (dodgy duet) really sucked and were on every night :-(( Fortunately the road into benidorm was lined all the way with plenty of pubs with not quite so dodgy entertainment! including the well known Benidorm Palace which is litterally across the road (BTW- Its a good 20-25 mins walk to the beach) Overall then, we all had a great time and the dire entertainment was still not enough to reduce this from a 5/5 rating.
great hotel , food not as good as thought it would be
Hotel was great , very modern , location good as not in centre food was same same and sometimes not cooked , BE AWARE, not much variety ,couldnt complain about anything else , michelle
Brilliant modern hotel, food excellent....Aberdeen
Just returned from 2 weeks at this lovely modern clean hotel. Rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels and linen. Hotel is very clean and airy. Was wary about the food reviews we had read before we went on holiday, but we all enjoyed the food, lots pasta, rice, vegetables and meat. Put it this way i came home half stone heavier!! Waiters in the restaurant were very friendly especially Augustin who my 2 little boys loved. Pool area is clean and the childrens area is great with all the slides. The pool area was very quite in the afternoon, as the spanish visitors all went inside for about 3 hours. Always managed to get a sunbed. Only downside to the hotel is the entertainment, we felt it was geared more for the spanish. They also had a terrible act called Duo Ambar on every night. The area were the hotel is situated is very quite. Takes about 20 mins to walk into centre of town, or take number 10 bus which is right outside hotel, cost 1 euro each. Walking distance to Mundomar and Aqualand which is just 10 minute walk round the corner. We will definately go back to this hotel.
Fabulous holiday at the Deloix!!
We stayed at the Deloix for 1 week at the end of July. We had our 17 year old (reluctant) daughter and 11 year old son with us. We were hoping for a relaxing week around the pool with some good food thrown in - and that's exactly what we got! The hotel is really lovely - ultra modern and immaculately clean. Great pool with low key children's activities to stop them getting bored. Our son hesitated to join in at first but he soon realised you dont need to speak the same language to play football and table tennis! The air conditioning in the room was also very welcome after a few hours in the sun... Some of the reviews mention the hotel is geared up to cater to Spanish guests, but there were Germans, French, English etc and we had no problem communicating with the staff. The evening entertainment was ok - a little corny ,but after a long day of sunbathing it was just enough - our daughter especially enjoyed the Miss Deloix contest (!) and they had a reptile show, magic show and acrobatics etc, but if you want boozy karaoke you can find it in town... The food was fine - lots of fish/meat choices with lots of fresh fruit & veg and we all found something to suit our tastes each day. We'd never been to Benidorm before and thought the main resort was quite horrible, but in this hotel you could have been a million miles away from the low-end atmosphere of the main area. We would definitely return and would thoroughly recommend the Deloix!!
Great Stay
Stayed here with my family for a week at the end of July. Hotel is relatively new and all areas that we saw were spotlessly clean. Food was fine and there was always something for my 2 fussy daughters, 9 & 8 to eat. Bedroom was great with climate controlled air con and a large balcony. Kids slept on double sofa bed and wife and I had large single beds each. Swimming pool was great with a slope entry at one end and steps at the other. Even depth throughout of about 4ft. Indoor pools/spa area was not used although we did go in, the pools were very cold. Pool towels were available at the hotel and rooms had both safety deposit box and mini bar/fridge. Yes this hotel is a bit out of the way but it is in better condition than most benidorm hotels and we never struggled to get poolside beds, often only going down to the pool at 1130hrs. I would recommend to all.
