This hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of Belfast city. Straight across the road is a great pub The Crown which serves cold Guinness and great Champ. Food is served till three in the afternoon. Further down the street is The Red Panda a great Chinese restaurant. All the sights and shops are within walking distance.
The hotel itself is very modern but still very traditional. There were a few problems during our stay. The main one being that our room was not booked when we arrived, when we were given a room it was wrong, however this was changed.
The rooms are very clean but small. We had to ask for extra towels as we only had one towel and one cup. It took the staff a full day to bring towels to the room.
Overall it was a good stay and the hotel is in a great location, the service could be better as could the breakfast however as you’re not in the hotel much it really does not matter as there is so much to see in Belfast it is a great safe city and well worth a visit.

Excellent hotel, centrally located in city centre, beside train station and close to superb restaurants/cafe's and shops. I stayed here for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
Great food, excellent service, friendly people, great Night life and lots to do! Try Paul Rankins delicious cafes, excellent range of Chinese, Indian and European restaurants. Friendly and lively Bars throughout city centre, try Mchugh's, or the Empire. Highly recommended!

The first thing to say about this hotel is that you can feel the history - being the most bombed hotel during the troubles- but at the same time it is not stuck in the past.
The reception area is very impressive with loads of space.
The room was fine - decent size, as was the bathroom.
The breakfast was good - without being great, although bonus marks were had, as Frank Carson was also having breakfast there! Which is no real surprise as it seems that almost everyone famous from Ireland - either North or South has stayed there.
The location is great, close to shops, pubs, restaurants, and theatres. Over the road is the famous Crown pub - which is well worth a visit. There were queues outside waiting for it to open.
The final plus point is the attached bar/pub, this is brilliant for a hotel, and seems to be a favourite with locals as well as us residents. There was great music on both nights of our stay.
The one complaint is around the housekeeping. We left the room at about 1030 and got back at about 6pm.The room had not been cleaned. We got changed and went out for the evening, telling reception about our room on the way. We were assured it would be done straight away. When we returned at 11pm the room had still not been cleaned. We were offered a free upgrade - but who wants to move rooms at 11pm?
We went to bar and had a free drink - but all we wanted to do was go to bed.
Would we go again? Belfast yes - a wonderful city - but not sure about the hotel. There is a lot of competition in the area.
