Looking for a week-end break to celebrate yet another wedding anniversary, I came upon the details of The Grosvenor Hotel on the internet. We knew nothing of the hotel, nor, indeed, of Torquay, so wee took a gamble and booked in. The bed and breakfast rates were very competitive.
The gable paid off. A lovely hotel with excellent facilities and friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant food was good and the "Inn @ The Grosvenor" offered excellent vakue for money.
The Hotel is very well located, being a hundred yards or so from the beach and the same distance from extensive recreational facilities. It is about half a mile from the harbour and the "bright lights".
Travelling from the Midlands, we had to struggle through the Glastonbury traffic, but it was worth the effort

My partner and 3 children have just had a fabulous stay at The Grosvenor. I had read some of the not so good reviews, but as we took advantage of the children under 16 free offer, it seemed worth the risk! We had a fabulous time! Food, staff, location, accommodation, entertainment, facilities were all first class! Mark, the new owner, seems to be everywhere, from welcoming you into breakfast, to hosting the party night on Thursday, singing, calling bingo, playing Play your cards right! and kareoke! Wednesday they have a barbeque by the pool,fab cheap food, eg beefburger £2 with help yourself salad, and dolphin racing you could bet on!We will definately be returning to this hotel next year, and happily pay for the children if we have to!
