Fenix Hotel

i have just returned from my vacation in lisbon, which was really enjoyable, from every aspect, including the hotel. hotel fenix is loacated in a main square of the city, right in front of a metro station, which makes getting around the city, really easy. the staff were kind and helpfull, at all times. the twin room was large, clean and comfortable. the buffet breakfast was more than enough to start the day. the other guests i have met, from various countries seemed to enjoy their stay as well, and were quiet and polite, unlike the loud... more

Booking our stay at the Fenix was the best choice I could have made for our trip to Lisbon in honor of my husband's 60th birthday. The staff was exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful in many different ways. It was a pleasure to always feel that their smiles were genuine. I just got back from a 3 night stay at the Fenix. I spent little time in the room but it was clean, comfortable and adequate. The view at the rear of the hotel was not an interesting one but quiet. The bathroom was a good size with plenty of hot water when I needed it. My breakfast choices were all good and filling. Service at the reception desk varied according to the staff members on duty but most were pleasant and helpful. Wireless broadband access is available for 5 euros per hour. Just say no. Say no to bad, rude check-ins, say no to paying for parking in a private garage (can you say “included”), say no to mould in the bathroom, say no to no hot water or inconsistent hot water, say no to absence of air conditioning, say no to noise from the street even on the top (8th) floor. And best of all, say no to cold food - send it back...! It's time Brits just didn't put up with substandard customer service, poor quality hotel rooms and cold food. I stayed for 2 nights in a twin room. The room didnt have a great view, and was a little noisey during the day, but as we were out and about it didnt matter. The room was a nice size and well maintained. The bathroom was a very good size too. The breakfast was ok, but i didnt think much of the cooked breakfast. Everything seemed luke warm rather than piping hot. The meto was right outside the hotel which is excellent. Barrio Alto has great restaurants and bars.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a week-end trip to Lisbon. The hotel is large and modern with avaerage size rooms. The bathroom was clean with a powerful and warm shower. We did not use many of the hotel facilities as we were out exploring the city but the couple of drinks we had in the bar were reasonably prized. All the staff we encountered were professional and very helpful/friendly. I stayed at the Fenix for 2 nights on business, managed to get a room for 56euros a night and for the price it was excellent. Room was large with good bathroom, staffs were friendly and breakfast was fine. Location is great, right on the metro line so you can get anywhere in Lisbon. Would definitely stay here again if i could get a room around the same price.

Clean, tidy and friendly hotel. Good room size. Location 20 mins walk from main evening attraction areas of Rossio/Bairro Alto however entry to underground and bus services right next door to hotel so this provides great alternative to walking, if required. Myself and my wife used the public transport system regularly to see most parts of Lisbon. The public transport was clean and relaible and we did not feel threatened at all. A perfect hotel to enjoy the city very closed to the metro station. Rooms clean and well equipped and breakfast with all things you need. The official rate is min 150 max 250 € per double room per night, but we only pay about 70 €. If you pay 150 € you can think Fenix hotel isn’t as good as the rate. I recommend it and have a good stay in Lisbon.

Great position - right across the road from the underground. We stayed in this hotel for a medical congress and thought it was really a perfect place to stay in Lisbon. The rooms are clean and well equiped ( all the mod-cons ) and it is so convenient to the transport system. If we had a free day we would either walk around the lovely Estremadura area which has loads of cafes,shops and restaurants. Very up-market area too.
