The Devon Hotel

We stayed here on the weekend students start university, consequently there seemed to be no vacancies at any hotels in exeter but my husband's work managed to get us a room at this hotel As other reviews have stated, it is on a very busy intersection road, overlooking a roundabout in the middle of nowhere. the room although clean was extremely small for two people to stay in and I would not have wanted to stay there more that one night. the food in carriages restaurant is good, we had a meal and a breakfast in there.<br... more

We stayed here as we were attending a wedding. We booked on the Internet with the hotel, I also spoke to them about the booking. Upon arrival we were given a room on the lower floor which had a great outlook towards the carpark and an extremely busy roundabout. The room itself was small and not worth money. My wife spoke to the people at reception and we were given a better room, but with the same outlook. Overall this hotel needs to update itself to the 21st century as most rooms look like a motel from the early 1980's. The noise... more
