Cedars Lodge Inn Hotel

We are arrived on a warm thursday are were pleasantly surprised by the hotel and the location. However this did not last long. Our group had book a room to many and while we were not expecting a refund at the as it would be difficult to resell the room when the room was resold and we didn't receive a refundwe found it rather unamusing. The cleaning in the rooms was good however throughout the whole hotle the windows needed cleaning and the whole place needed dusting. We felt that the drinks in the bar were over priced (3.75 for a bottle of bulmers) and we were also told that the bar was open until 1:30am however when we returned from a night out at 12:30am the bar was most definately closed. We had also been advised to leave our keys behind reception but when we tried to get them the nightporter was nowhere to be found. In trying to get someone to serve us we accidently awoke the manager who used language that I am forbidden to use on this page. The staff in general were unprofessional, it took at times up to 20 mins to get somebody to serve at the bar and the restaurant staff were also very slow. The barman when he was there was generally moody and very slow. The night porter who insisted that we call him "catweasel" was never around when you wanted anything and was of little help when you did. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that I liked.
