perfect atmosphmere
It's my second time in Angelos Village but first time that I write a review. Great views because the bungalows are situated up the hill, great services, you can ask for anything you need and Haria or any other member of the family will do their best to satisfy your needs. The sea in the area is great and you can combine relaxing holidays and the party atmosphmere of Hersonissos. Nice bar-snack bar. Great variety of tastes at dinner. Clean rooms but the most important is real hospitality. Definetely come back for the third time next... more
little piece of greek heaven
We have just got back from the wonderful Angelos Village and can't wait to go back! Set up in the hills overlooking Hersonissos, this is a gem of a place. A family run concern, Angelos has been around for more than 20 years. The 61 rooms are bungalow design and are typical Cretian. This means if you are looking for luxury you ain't going to find it. What you will find are clean, comfortable rooms with air con and a balcony overlooking the gardens or Hersonissos. The pool is clean and warm and there is a very good snack bar... more
Silly little things.
The Angelos Village was okay, but with a little effort could be fantastic. The staff were always friendly and helpful, especially if you greeted them in Greek, it's worth making the effort. The pool was cool and inviting and the bar provided excellent refreshment all day and friendly chatter into the night. If you get a room that overlooks the Agean it's almost worth putting up with the short commings, but not quite. Where the Angelos really lets itself down is food. I was only there for breakfast, and a very poor affair it is. I have... more
Management response from AngelosVillageTeam

First of all I want to thank you, on behalf of Angelos Village team for coming in Angelos Village for your holidays and also for the review you wrote in tripadvisor. It is always very helpful for us to consider the suggestions that our guests made in person or through the reviews. We read all the suggestions very carefully and we try to improve ourselves every time, doing our best to fulfill the needs of our guests. As for the suggestions for breakfast: The quality of breakfast is the same as the quality of dinner (please refer to other reviews for dinner quality) and it is based on the local products and the quality we choose for ourselves, since, my family and I live in the hotel the whole summer and we try to enjoy meals there as much as our guests. I am sorry you did not have the chance to taste our dinner but as you can see from the others reviews the quality and choice are more than satisfactory. The choice of breakfast in Angelos Village (a small three star, family run hotel) is according all the standarts of a hotel of this category. There is a choice of 15 different things and as for diabetics, my father Angelos is one, so the breakfast menu had to be suitable for him as well. Bread (suitable for diabetics), cheese, ham, eggs, musli and corn flakes are acceptable for a diabetic, but we are always ready to supply our guests with something more special, if they only ask for it. As for the shower hunger and the shower curtain, I can personally promise that next year will be there to easy the life of our guests. The towels are changed three times a week for two reasons. One is that we really care for the environment and we think that it is a waste of water and detergent to wash towels every day and the second is that we try to keep the hotel rates low. The relation quality/price is so far more than good and we try hard to keep it that way. But please don't forget that we always supply our guests with fresh towels and sheets if they need to and of course if they tell us. I want to thank you once more for your review and promise you that we do our best so that holidays in Angelos Village will be pleasant.

great time in angelos village
I had really a great time in Angelos village. There 's everything you can dream about: there were very nice bungalows surrounded by flowers. The rooms were nice and clean wirh air conditioning and had a view to the see. There're lts of sunbeds around the swimming pool and you can stay in the shadox of the trees. For meal you could have asmuch as you want of tradional and various home made food. it was always very good. During my whole stay there i enjoyed the family atmosphere: i was welcome by Kosats and his daughters like in a family. I... more
'Awesome Angelos'
What more can i say! First class holiday. First of all i would like to thank Harria and all the family and staff for everything. Nothing was too much trouble. If you needed anything, all you had to do was ask. This began when she met us herself at 0430hrs in the morning from our transfer, until we left at 0130hrs seven days later at the end of the holiday. Both family and staff bid us farewell. My wife, my 5 year old and myself thought this was an excellent holiday. The accommodation was small type Cretan... more
Family holiday at Angelos (girl 10, boy 18)
Good holiday at Angelos but there are ups and downs. Ups:- the food was great (including breakfast) though they let me down a bit on the last day by offering custard pie for breakfast but that was the only blip on the screen, the chef is a lady who looks like everyones ideal mum and enjoys her work to the full. The customers were all well behaved and looking to enjoy themselves (no numpties) the staff are relaxed and human. You are away from most of the noise (not all). This is a cheap holiday for half board.<br... more
GREAT TIME
Me and my mate warren were in crete for 9 days and it was super. Angelos village was a great location and whole load of fun. All the staff are layed back and really helpful. the location is spot on, star beach is so close and town is a 15 min walk. The room was great and so was the view. For what you pay you cant complain, we went half board, breakfast is standard but the eveing meal is good, plenty of meat, soup and great fresh salad. We had a great time and made many friends. The age group was mixed but this wasnt a problem, we... more
THE HILL
We stayed at Angelos Village for 2 weeks from 26th June 2007, we got there just at the end of the heat wave. The hotel is set in nice gardens and the owners are friendly and very hospitable. The room we stayed in was very basic, we did expect this in Greece but there weren't even any drawers to put underwear etc in, but there was hanging space. The view from the room was beautiful over looking the sea towards Stalis. The hotel is situated at the top of a fairly steep bank, which is no fun to walk up in 45 degree heat, or carrying anything... more
Great 2 weeks spent at the Angelos
We had a great 2 weeks at the Angelos Village in June this year. We have never been to Crete before and had booked the Angelos over the Internet - so we were a bit wary of what we had let ourselves in for. There was no need to have been worried - the hotel was excellent and we really enjoyed the Island. Our room was basic, like most Greek accommodation, but it was larger than we were expecting with a fantastic sea view and a fridge - this was a real luxury, ideal for water and wine! We had booked half board at the Angelos and we... more
Great time..
Just got back from a week at Angelos Village and had an amazing time! the place itself was nothing to rave about, but it was clean and descent enough unless you're a fussy [--] that is! The pool was OK and the bar and restaurant were right next to it, and very reasonably priced! It was a lovely walk down the hill with a nice view of the sea, and just at the bottom a very nice restaurant called theadora's gardens which i would highly recommend! (especially if you're a fan of complementary raki) It has to be said however, the walk back... more
