Excellent Food & Stay
A very nice warm welcome on reception. Property was nicely decorated and oragnised. Excellent food served in the restaurant and good quality breakfast. Staff was very skilled and friendly. Hotel was expensive on websites so we booked direct to get better deal and we did get a better deal while booking directly at the hotel.
Reasonable Hotel for exploring local area
We booked a 3 night DBB stay directly with the hotel. the room was adequate with all the expected hotel facilities. Dinner was simple with a choice of 3 main meals including 1 veg option. Breakfast buffet style, cooked with a selction of cereals too. The swimming pool was small and adequate but you did have to take the towels from our room which is annoying. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We used it as a base to explore the local area. It was a good deal but I wouldn't have wanted to pay the full advertised room prices for our... more
Not Good / Not Bad
My DH stays at this hotel regularly, and perhaps we got special treatment because of this. My daughter and I joined him on a business trip and spent 5 days at the Chichester Park. Our first room was a double bed - hard as rock. The room was small, so we requested a larger room. We were moved post haste to a larger room that held a double bed and 2 single beds. The double bed was hard as rock (like sleeping on a sidewalk was how my 9 year old described it). The single beds were soft and comfortable. We rotated turns on the beds.... more
1970s hotel, worst nites sleep ever......
Stayed for one night with friends, . hotel badly needs update, seems stuck in the70s bed very uncomfy, room small, but clean , had 2 towels between 3, also, jst sheets on bed , were then given old itchcy blanket.had to take towels down to pool, full of chlorine though,, could smell it before you saw it, food in restarant terrible, service appalling, bar staff good, but no atmosphere, wouldent book if i were you..
Good location
Stopped for one night because we were attending a function in Chichester so the location was first class. The room was fine-clean & well equipped. It was hot so a dip in the pool was very welcome! Reception staff very helpful & arranged a taxi for us. Breakfast was a bit disappointing- everything on hotplates and a bit `stewed`. Cold toast!
Over priced basic hotel
We have just stayed at this hotel and based on the price tag (£100 per night) were very disappointed. You can stay at very nice 4* hotels for the same money! The staff and reception were friendly and it was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was above average for a 3* hotel. BUT - the hotel room was basic, much more so than a Travel Inn etc where you can stay for far less money! Our carpet was damp, the furniture was straight out of MFI in the 1970s and the bed was appalling!!! The bed was a very basic mattress, no mattress... more
Great Value
I'd stopped here once before, and found it a little bit depressing, not dirty or particularly bad, just a bit DULL. The food was dull, the pool shut, various re-furbs going on etc. Needing to book last minute, I went again last week, expecting much of the same. What a pleasant surprise. Dinner was excellent, with a perfectly cooked and well presented steak. The room was spacious and warm, the shower is fantastic and pins you against the back wall - always a bonus! I didn' t have chance to use the pool, but it looked very clean and... more
friendly hotel
This hotel is very clean and is an improving hotel. They are putting alot of investment into it. All the staff are well mannered and helpful. The rooms are clean and have comfy beds. The bathrooms are good too.It did good English breakfasts. I was disappointed their was no cake, I like that when on holiday! The swimming pool is superb clean and warm. The bar was good for our night caps. The hotel is in a busy area but was convenient to get into the town. I really enjoyed my stay. Would stay again.
A Very Pleasant Hotel
We booked at very short notice to stay at the hotel. The manager and staff on the telephone were very helpful as we asked for a suite for 2 adults and 2 young children. They were able to accomodate us at a very reasonable price. After booking we read the reviews and started to worry that the hotel would not be up to standard. HOWEVER on arrival we were pleasantly surprised. The staff, hotel and room was far better than we expected. Rooms were clean, bathroom and decor were great. We felt at home, we usually stay in 4 or 5*... more
