We spent two almost blissful weeks at the Voyage Torba and the overall experience was far superior to anything we had ever experienced before - mind you we had never stayed in a 5 star all inclusive hotel so really can't compare like with like.
Let's start with the good bits:
The buffet restaurant food- the variety and quality of food was excellent with plenty of fresh salad, vegetables, breads and dips as well as plenty of delicious main courses and a bbq serving meat and fish several times a week. Breakfast did not have English as this is an international hotel with a mainly Turkish clientele. However, there were delicious pancakes, waffles, cereals, fruit, fresh bread. My only niggle was they used powered milk which was often left to go warm - would have been nice to have fresh and cold milk! There weren't many flies, cooking areas were clean and food was replenished regularly.
The a la carte restaurants- this option meant that you could enjoy the experience of 'dining out' without paying extra. Each restaurant was thoughtfully designed and service was generally better than the buffet restaurant (which could be slow). Each provided high quality food - much better than we had anticipated actually- especially in the Chinese and Mexican. The service in the Greek was slapdash (bordering rude) but the ambience inside was great. We booked 5 out of the 6 restaurants and the only downside was that the booking hours were between 10am to 2pm and meal had to be booked from room phone, which is coincidentally the time which most people are out sunbathing or on trips! Try the pasta house during 2- 6pm tasty alternative to buffet lunch and no need to prebook.
The pools - great pools! Clean, safe and could usually get a sunbed on one of them. Slides in fun pool are a good laugh. Sunbeds around Hawaiian and Main pool, adult beach and jetty were the comfiest. Be warned - the rule about reserving sunbeds before 8 am is ignored by all so you may have to get up very early to secure your perfect spot.
The rooms - yes, they were small but they were adequate for our needs. Clean, modern, great shower, good individually controlled aircon. Balcony OK. Limited English channels on TV. Minibar stocked everyday with soft drinks and water which was a huge plus!
The grounds were well kept and attractive.
Voyage White disco on a Sunday night in the Sky bar - impressive outdoor nightclub atmosphere with world class DJ and professional dancers - great atmosphere.
Ampitheatre- the entertainment show put on some very watchable acts (Shaman Act particularly good)
The location - definitely quiet and picturesque. Mountainous views were gorgeous. Not a lot to do outside of hotel unless you were prepared to go to Bodrum (only £2 on Dolmus). No banks or pharmacy in Torba. Ideal 'away from it all' location. A handful of sophisticated restaurants nearby as well as a small shop and bar with a few footie games being shown. We found this to be a plus point, but some holiday makers may have found this a negative.
And the not so good bits...
Reception - we found the reception staff to be quite impersonal and not very willing to help. Please don't take sterling traveller's cheques as the reception struggled to exchange a £50 cheque for Lira and this became very inconvenient and frustrating. Had some trouble operating safe and had to ring reception 5 times before someone came out!
The service - was very hit and miss. Sometimes it was very efficient and at other times it seemed as though our orders had been forgotten or just took forever. Often, plates were taken away even before we had finished eating from them, which I suspect was because there was a high turnover of guests. Leave something that is not valuable on your table to mark possession otherwise it will not remain yours for long! The hunt for a table for breakfast and dinner at peak time could be very stressful!
Other entertainment - could get a little boring as DJ seemed to play same songs every night when there were no shows planned. Michael Jackson tribute was a big let down - 3 female dancers for 20 mins with no hint of a Michael impersonator. This didn't really bother us as we loved nothing more than sitting on the jetty after dinner with a cocktail looking at the stars...
Hints and tips - no need to take much extra money but you may want to book some trips and travel across the Bodrum Peninsula (Turgetreis lovely) to take you away from the hotel, which despite it's appeal could get monotonous for two weeks.
Take cash/card instead of Traveller's cheques- you can leave valuables in safe.
Make the effort to book the a la carte - well worth it.
Book it - you will enjoy!

We arrived at the Voyage Torba at 5am the place looked great and were plesantly greeted by the reception.
The bellboy wheeled our suitcaces to our room, wow!
The room, lovely decor, beauitiful ensuite but the was only a double bed! We are a family of 3, with a wee boy aged 3.
We all got into the double bed after switching on the air-con grabbing a bottle of water from the stocked everyday fridge and got a bit of shuteye for a few hours!
I was convinced that we we given the wrong room as couldnt think where Ewan my sons single bed would go without being crampt. On enquiring in the morning, yes it was our room and a cot bed would be brought straight away. It was a brand new extreamly clean travel cot.
The Voyage Torba is amazing ,right on the beach with plenty to do.
I would reccommend the Voyage Torba to anyone with a family. They have 4 pools, 1 with 6 slides and childrens pool. It has a good decent fun slide in the middle (this has 4 sets of stairs and 4 slides comming off it)
and a smaller rainbow slide also.
Dont bother packing beach towels, you dont need to. At the side of the pool there is a towel stand you can collect a fresh 1 each day from.
My son had a fabulous time at the kiddys pool. The next day he ventured toward the bigger chutes and flumes. He is like a fish and loves the water and has a need for speed, he never looked back at the kiddies pool after that! We did accompany him on every time tho.
They also have a brilliant park/playground which is undercover, Excellent for keeping the wee ones occupied while keeping out the midday sun! Every lunchtime they have a kids lunchtime buffet at the park which is handy. The Voyage Torba have 5 resturants which are bookable. You must phone from your room in the morning to dine that evening. But be quick on the phone if you want to go. booking opens at 10am and most slots are gone by 1015!
The food in the main buffet area is out of this world!!
You will never go hungry, believe me when I say, they realy do have everything!! What a variety and to watch the chefs preparing/cooking it all was amazing!! And with its beachfrount location you can sit and view the amazing oceanview while you have breakfast lunch and dinner.
There is also a pancake house, teahouse and aqua snack which my son loved eatin pizza at. There is also a beautiful bar/icecream/cake dinning, a real hidden gem behind recception. Wow, believe me they have every cake your heart desire!!
At the bar they have every cocktail you can think of! And my other half was pleased when he found out that Jack Danniels was available as the in-house whiskey! Also if your partial to vodka its the absolute range they use!!
It realy is 5star and I describe it as a peice of paradice! All-inclusive is the only way to go!
Yes you may pay a bit extra for your holiday at the time but you dont have to worry about spending money, you dont really need any!!
This was our first time in Turkey and we,r off again next year.
I got a great deal so next time we're heading to an all-inclusive hotel/waterpark in Lara Beach.

We booked Club Voyage after reading the reviews on this site. They were spot on!
We got to Club Voyage at 3am! The staff were friendly and check in was quick and simple. We then went to our room- which was small-so be prepared if you are a couple! At first we were going to change our room but decided we were so tired we would wait until morning.
We woke up to blue sky and hot sunshine- we just wanted to get out there so decided to stick with our room!
The facilities in this hotel are amazing! There are 3 pools, the main pool where all the music and activities happen. The relax pool- where it's much more peaceful. The childrens pool- where there are brilliant water slides!!!(which we went on a lot!!)
We spent our days around the relax pool or on the beach. The sun beds are excellent but you have to be up early to get one!!at least 8am! This was well worth it though, especially for the sunbeds on the pier!!They are fantastic and well worth an early morning. Dont take towels! You get fresh ones every day from the towel hut!
The staff are all really hard working and friendly, they all work such long hours but remain happy and willing to help in any way they can.
When we returned to our little room after our first day round the pool it was lovely and clean, with the towels arranged in a nice display and flowers on the bed. It was great, very clean and water, coke and fanta were put in the fridge every day!We didn't need to change our room, it was perfect for sleeping, showering and was clean and tidy. We didn't spend much time in it anyway!
We went on a boat trip, which is a must and also went into Bodrum on the little bus which is 2 lira! Its good fun and Bodrum is beautiful. We were expecting hassle from the shop owners but they are all very polite, but if you are buying make sure you barter!!Its fun and they expect it!We had a lovely meal at an italian in Bodrum, on the way from the bus station to the main port. Go if you fancy a treat!
Back at the hotel we took part in some of the activities, shooting mainly! This was great fun and Jack- part of the animation team was a real good laugh! The animation team are amazing!!! They work all day and basically all night! They run all the activities, mini disco for the kids, casino nights, open air disco, all the shows!! The shows by the way are fabulous!! A must see!Even for couples!!
The food is great, the chinese is by far the best so make sure you go! There is a wide range of foods so just go for it and try everything! The fist restuarant is amazing too! A lovely location and the food is spectacular!
Overall our holiday was excellent. Although the rooms were not 5 star the rest of the complex is! Its just brilliant.
The only thing that we didn't like were the photographers who wandered around trying to take your photos. JUST SAY NO!then they will leave you alone. The photos are expensive and not brilliant! We took better ones ourselves!
Apart from that it was a brilliant holiday! Not many english people but we did meed a lovely couple on the boat trip who we spent a couple of nights with.
Oh- one last thing- you must go to the patisserie above reception, its a secret gem!Its lovely, great cakes and ice creams and coffee etc! And also get a bike from next to the front gates and go off to explore the beach. We found some lovely spots to stop and enjoy the peaceful surroundings!
So thats it! Enjoy!

We have just returned from this hotel following a two week holiday, the hotel was fantastic along with the food. The main buffet food was varied, hot and plentiful on a daily basis. There were cats wandering around the restaurant but we never seem them on tables at all and they weren't a problem. There are three pools, the relax pool, slide pool and main pool alongside the main restaurant. The first week the brits were the minority and we did encounter some problems trying to get a bed at the relax pool and slide pool, towels appeared on sun loungers from 4am in the morning. Once people started complaining the management had a member of staff at the pools removing towels that were put there before 8am. The staff were really friendly and cleaned all day long, the gardens were also maintained on a daily basis making the surroundings eally pleasant. We had been told by the rep that the dolmus into Bodrum were always packed so getting a seat may be difficult but getting a seat on the dolmus was never a problem, also at the bus station in Bodrum there were always plenty of dolmus's heading back to the resort, it was only 2 lira each on the dolmus. There was a live band playing twice a week, once on the main jetty and once at the main bar on a Sunday evening. There were shows every night at the ampitheatre apart from Sunday on the animation teams night off. We only ate at the Italian and Chinese A la carte restaurants (this was due to us being dis-organised and not booking a table at the others!), the patisserie was fabulous for cakes and ice creams, really nice to sit in and look out over the main pool. We did venture out of a night a couple of times and walked up the road where there were a few bars, we did find these bars expensive as they charged 20 lira (roughly £8.00) for 2 beers and a fanta. The only slight downside of this hotel was the size of the rooms, which were very very small, unless you had a duplex room. There is a market at Turgetries on a Saturday which we didn't know about the first week and missed the second week, other people who had been said it was full of bargains especially bags, t shirts etc. We did book the 4 star cruise via the rep and this was a really fab day out, drinks and lunch included and we stopped at 4 bays including camel beach for a swim in the sea, I would definitely recommend this trip. This is definitely a holiday we would recommend and look forward to returning sooner rather than later.

just returned from a 2 week stay at this hotel, a family of five, this is the best holiday we have had for a while, you are treated like loyalty,by the staff, they bring out drinks to you whilst on the beach, the food is excellant and plentyfull,ok lots of chips, but you have a choice of steak, fish, plenty of salads etc,you get a free clean towel everyday when you produce your towel card , there is even a turkish bath on site which i would recomend at a extra cost, and its only 2 turkish lira to go to bodrum, again i rcomend a trip to the market, just for the experiance of bartering for your purchase, this hotel does have many amenities on site, even a 24 hour bar if you need it,the daily entertainment is out of this world has is the evening entertainment by the animation team,ok the brits are a minority, but was not a problem, masive complex but no worry about finding a sunbed on the beach any time of the day, near the hotel are boats that take you out for the day, we hired the seren at a cost of 370 lira, which was ours alone being a party of nine, and included diner as well worth a look at,i would definatly recomend this destination, and would definatly return

Food was great and so were all staff. Everyone was very pleasent. There wasn't much to do at nights but we wached the shows every night because they were so good. I enjoyed my stay here and would definately go again.

Just come home from a weeks hol with my family I found that the hotel had lovely settings 3 lovely pools, tennis courts, kids club, theatre own beach and different restaurants to choose from, lots of choice at meal times in the main restaurant and friendly staff.
The downsides were there were hardly any English speaking staff, the safe deposit was really expensive (why is this chargeable when A/INC i don't know) and often the food was cold. My room had a curtain half hanging down and once daylight came through you were woken up. Nothing to do outside the complex was another downside. Turkish baths are not free either and pool is chargable too.
Would not recomend the market, we were told to Barter (what a joke they were having none of it), all they sold was t shirts, bags, and a few shoes not much variation. I was told Turkey was cheap, don't believe it.
Do be very careful with luggage weight at the airport coming home as we were ripped off they charged us £75 in excess and were not at all leaniant many people lost out here and do bring your own food and drink as a bottle of water was 6 lira!!!!

returned two days ago, after a fantastic week with my family and friends at the club voyage torba, the food was excellent, so much choice, staff were very friendly, the children in our party, ages from 7 up to 16, had a fab time, lots to entertain them. the transfer time from airport approx 35 mins, and the weather was great, chilly in the evening, if there was a down side, which is a minor downside was that the room was small, but as we only used it for sleeping it was not really an issue. i have been to turkey many times, and have been lucky that all the hotels i have visited have been of a good standard, but i enjoyed this one so much that i have already booked it again for next may.

This was our 1st family holiday abroad. We have 2 boys, 12 and 10 and a six year old girl. Within 2 weeks of coming back we had booked again for 2008. The accommodation is fantastic. We had a duplex apartment, double and single bed with bathroom downstairs plus a double bedroom, single bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It was spacious, clean, well equipped and perfect for our needs. Maids are on the go from 7am to 9pm. The fridge gets water, coke and fanta daily and is cleaned to a good standard.
The hotel and staff cannot be praised highly enough, the resort is stunning, pools are clean and not overcrowded, staff have a smile for you no matter what time of day and did everything to make our stay a pleasure. 1 very minor niggle was that there are quite a few cats on the resort and they wander the restaurants at meal times. If you ignore them they go away, however some guests choose to feed them and this encourages them. They DO NOT jump on the tables, just meander round your feet but its not a major concern and not a big nuisence.
You can eat at ALL of the a la carte restaurants, although you have to book in advance on the day and it was tricky with 5 of us but the hotel rep sorted it for us without a problem. There are 6 quality restaurants, the main buffet resturant, pool bars and a delicatessant which serves ice cream and 50 different cakes all day. The food is outstanding, 6 courses in some of the a la cartes. Theres Italian, chinese, mexican, greek, turkish and fish. The main buffet has freshly prepared breakfasts of pancakes, eggs, omletes etc with fruit, bread and cereal bars to choose from. Dinner is freshly cooked and changes daily (steak, chicken, pasta, kebab night etc etc) We have 2 fussy eaters in our family and they never ever went hungry.
I read the reports about lack of sunloungers and fighting the germans at dawn but this is rubbish. I can't say what it's like in peak season but we never struggled for anywhere to camp by the sea or pool. A snorkel and mask are a must for the kids, they spent hours looking at the fish in the sea and it helped with their swimming confidence no end. There are high speed boat rides, jet ski's, banana boat and pedalos for hire on the restort at good prices. There is also a scuba centre which does days out, however they are not all inclusive and food and drinks must be bought.
The thomas cook rep was great, she was very helpful and organised 2 excellent trips for us. 1 to the aquapark outside bodrum which is a short bus ride away and a great day out if you like waterslides. The other trip was a fantastic boat trip called the millionaires cruise. You are collected from the resort and taken by bus to Bodrum where you catch an open top Gullet which takes you around the coast. It stops at 4 bays where you stop for around an hour to swim and dive. 1 stop is at camel beach where you get off the boat and can lounge on the beach or go for a camel ride. The good thing about this day is that all drinks are free and theres a main meal at lunchtime. The rep got us some free child places for the 2 days and the total was £90 for both days out, which works out at £9 each per trip.
Overall, the resort is very clean, friendly, well equipped and fantastic value for money. We have booked 2 weeks in late September for 2 adults and 3 kids for £2200 and nothing could come close to this for value when we looked.
I really do struggle to see how anyone can have complaints about this quality resort.

Hi
I've already written a review on here, it’s near the bottom, however I felt compelled to write again after I visited this hotel for a second time. One word: excellent.
I love it here and am looking to go again this year. What more can I say except since I last went the hotel has got even better and is just ideal for all ages and groups; families, couples and groups of young friends.
Give it a try!

Our first time in Turkey and we will be back. Having read reviews before we left we were a bit worried about the food, but it was fantastic, fresh, hot and so much choice.
The staff were helpful, accommodation was fine, not brilliant, but we hardly spent any time in the room, resort was always clean, beach towels were provided daily, a great help.
My only negative comment would be, we found it very hard to get booked into one of the 6 restaurants every night, BUT we were in a large group (20 of us), and there was no problems getting tables in the normal buffet restaurant.
The water-sports that were on offer are excellent, and no need to catch a bus or walk anywhere cos its all on offer on the beach. Three of the children in our group got their Padi's, the scuba diving instructor spoke about 5 different languages and the kids thought he was "cool".
An excellent holiday, well worth the money, we will be going next year, but we will be booking it direct, not through Thomas Cook, as they were a complete waste of time.
