We visited Hotel 12mths after previous reviewer, Mrs Corbett. Agree with all she put , however catering has probably gone down hill since! We had 16 people in our group and the general consensus was that the reason we had to select our meager evening meal at breakfast time was so that they could get it cooked during the day and reheat it at 7pm when we had it served. There was no option on the time of the evening meal service. Without doudt the catering became such a joke that the group gained great camaraderie through adversity!! Basil Fawlty would have been proud of this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and comfortable. Expect a real Italian experience with food that is in season, probably organic, well cooked and wholesome and portions the size that we should all adhere to at home! The bread is of the traditionally baked variety - none of the white rubber stuff here...lovely... and the croissants are wonderful - not the greasy variety we get at Tesco. The apples available at breakfast were huge, clean and thankfully not waxed. Dessert was usually delicious ice cream or fresh fruit....the sun ripened grapes so much nicer than the ones we buy at home. Vegetarians are well catered for.
The staff work very hard and were very attentive; when the mother of all thunderstorms chucked torrential rain down for five hours one evening - flooding some rooms where windows had been left open. Expect to step back in time 40 years in this resort...but there is nothing wrong with that!

The locals welcome us brits and it is a delight to spend time in their resort.
Congratulations to the proprietors on a well run establishment. We in England would do well to adopt some of the 'old fashioned' ways still used in this region which give less damage to our environment.
The only downside is the failure of the rubbish collection service....Napoli's one incinerator cannot cope with the additional rubbish created by tourism so the backlog is piled on roadsides....not a pretty sight. We could find ourselves in the same position in the future if we, like them, do not move forward and build the new incinerators that are required.

Rooms clean and comfortable. Air con only available in 2nd floor rooms at a charge of EUR 6.00 per day. Pool was clean with sufficient sunbeds as only small amount of guests. No interest by the staff to supply drinks etc. at poolside. Gardens at the rear were quite neglected with weeds, scruffy.
Food was very limited in choice and quality. Breakfast in particular was very mundane. Economy cornflakes only, orange juice only, a bowl of dusty apples, sliced stale bread, dry croissants or a ring doughnut, sliced spiced ham and cheese. Coffee not recognisable as such. No other choices available.
Dinner was a set choice of three dishes, both starters and main. The choices were not those that you would see at a typical Italian restaurant but a cost effective menu that would not take a lot to prepare. A set dessert was provided. We chose to eat out more than once or had to top up with food else where later.
More worrying was the blonde woman, in charge of the catering staff, who wore the same clothes either four or three days running in 80-90 degree heat.
Staff were very helpful when a guest was ill and an ambulance was required.
The hotel could be far more inviting but it seemed that no interest was taken a provide a service to the guests apart from the basic requirements.
