Sana Sesimbra Hotel

This was my third visit to Sesimbra and my second to the Sana Park. The hotel is in a perfect spot , yards from the beach and the wide sweeping bay on which Sesimbra is situated.We paid the extra[there are bargains in low season in this hotel] for a room overlooking the bay. The views are great,the rooms comfortable and surrounding area very quiet - waves lapping against the shore will lull you to sleep at night. absolutely delightful hotel! the rooftop jacuzzi is superb and the sauna and steam room sublime. the staff are attentive and fun!

We spent a week at the Sana Sesimbra at the end of August 2007 and can't praise it highly enough. The staff were all polite and extremely obliging and friendly. We paid extra for a sea view and it was well worth it. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Our only niggle was that our room was cleaned every day but it was usually done around 3pm which was a nuisance. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed at the Sana Park Sesimbra for 10 days at the beginning of July this year. We chose Sesimbra as it came highly recommended in the 'Times On-Line Best Beaches'. The hotel, beach and above all the portuguese people themselves surpassed all our expectations. Sesimbra was recomended to me by a Portuguese colleague. Beautifu town and beach. The Sana Park hotel is right accross from the beach, has a nice swiming pool on the roof top (perfect for the kids). The service was very friendly and the standard of the hotel very high. I will go back for sure.

Following a few days in Valencia, we decided to rent a car and head to Portugal, and happened to come across the little beach town of Sesimbra. On a south facing coast of Portugal on the Atlantic, the rocky coastline and clear blue waters reminded us of Amalfi so we decided to stay a couple of nights and were lucky enough to find the Sana Sesimbra available. Just returned from 3 days at the Sana Park Hotel, Portugal. Very good value as our rate included breakfast as well. Room service was average, food that arrived was soggy and luke warm. Excellent sangria. A little bit of hair in the bathrooms at the pool which I really dont like, but over all very clean. Lots of restaurants in the area. Great view over the ocean which was wonderful to hear it when waking in the morning

We stayed in the Sana Park for 2 weeks in July 2004 (with Magic of Portugal). We had a lovely time, both in the hotel and in Sesimbra itself. Sesimbra does not attract loads of Irish and English tourists at all, however English is widely spoken and most restaurant menus come in English. SO it is a perfect place to get away from it all and you probably won't meet your neighbours! The beach is lovely, very clean and directly across the road from the hotel. Sesimbra is a great location, touristy to the point that there are great restaurants and a fine beach, but not overwhelming at all. The Sana Park is a perfect location (parking can be an issue) and well appointed. Staff can be on-again off-again, but generally helpful. Food is mediocre, but with so many restaurants close to hand this is no problem at all . I have stayed there several times in a variety of seasons and would go back tomorrow!

I have stayed at the Sana Park in Sesimbra on two different stays in Portugal - one in February and the other in April. The situation is superb - right across the street from the ocean. The rooms and the hotel are brand-new and impeccable. The service fluctuates according to who is at the desk, from excellent, to nonchalant.
