Franca Villa

The hotel is beautifully situated. We had a room with a partial view, but we did not know that partial meant a little glimpse of the water. For 190 euros a night, I would have expected much more. The hotel pool, turkish bath, and massage services were wonderful, but we found the staff to be hauty, and a bit stand-offish, which was a rarity in Italy. I would definitely go back to Positano again, but would stay elsewhere.

This is THE most romantic place in the world and I did not have a man to share it with (though so many good looking ones in the town). My sister and I went to celebrate my 40th birthday. The staff of this place made us feel like family the minute we entered. The drinks/food/views are incredible. A MUST for any visitor.

Stayed in two places while in Positano, notably Villa Franca We didn't like Villa Franca because of its truly TINY rooms (no place to put your suitcases appart from the bed. Ours (48?) had a partial view on road and was right next to elevator (bad soundproofing) While hotel has some charm, one cannot have breakfast outside. Rooftop with pool is a nice amenity... but after all, the beach is nicer. Have just returned from a four night break at the Villa Franca. Fantastic location. Hotel has a regular bus service into town otherwise a pleasant walk with allot of steps! Hotel itself was pleasant. Typical Italian laid back style. We had room 31, de-luxe panoramic, which had lovely sea-view but we couldn't see much of the beach side of town. We have just returned from a four day break in Positano, staying at the Villa Franca. The hotel and rooms were lovely and the staff very helpful eg arranging a car to collect us at Naples airport or organising boat tickets. We paid 340 euros per night for a delux double (ie the best views) however I'm not convinced that they are worth the extra money (100 euros per night more) mainly because the view in Positano is truly amazing, but it is everywhere! I searched for months trying to find the perfect hotel for our honeymoon and we certainly found it! dont stress yourself looking for a hotel, you will not be disapointed staying here. The pool is a saviour, which you will enjoy lazing around and have a drink or two with some gorgeous lunch. We were in Positano for a week for the first leg of our honeymoon, and we loved the Villa Franca. We were excited to see if it could live up to the other positive reviews that were provided on Tripadvisor, and sure enough, it did with flying colors. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well kept. Air conditioner, room safe, and amazing views. We stayed at this hotel as part of our honeymoon. At first I was unsure of its location - on top of the hill and you are really dependent upon their (free!) shuttle bus unless you want to walk up and down many, many stairs. But in the end I'm glad we stayed here. The pool on the roof of the hotel offered a quiet alternative to the noisy beach below - we enjoyed both the beach and the pool but the pool was definitely more relaxing. The Villa Franca is a lovely boutique hotel near the top of the hill in Positano. The Hotel and the adjacent "Residence" where we stayed were both nicely kept. The front desk and hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. In fact, the hotel manager arranged car transportation from the Naples Airport to the hotel for us ($110EU) - well worth the money. The Hotel provides a wonderful complimentary breakfast in the morning with a variety of items (cereal, fruits, pastries, meats, local dishes - even pizza) and they will make your coffee... more

Terrific views from the restaurant, lounge, rooftop pool and our room's balcony overlooking the cove. Only shortcoming is the tile-lined hallways could use soundproofing to muffle late night revelers.
