Holiday Inn Hotel

Have to agree with one of the previous comments, i too have stayed in loads of the UK Holiday Inns and was suprised by how bad this one was. Customer Service very very poor, not even a smile from the receptionist, hardly made me feel welcome! They were not even busy. Waiting On Staff at Breakfast were arguing amoungst themselves, right in my earshot. Witnessed Waitor being rude to another customer. Well what can I say, I am a regular hotel resident and use this chain more frequently than any other (40 nights this year and counting) and this property has to rate as one of their worst. From not being provided with the benefits my frequent usage promises, to a scruffy room, terrible food and a general lack of customer focus from the staff, this hotel is fawlty towers on a corporate scale. That and its really bl**dy expensive My suggestion would be to avoid at all costs - seriously !

excellent stay...from the front desk upon arrival, smooth and well-organised, helpful...also on checkout...good restaurant, particularly child friendly (as correctly recommended by the HI central reservations)...nothing too much trouble. went to great trouble to make the whole family welcome, depite some awkward requests from the children...especially great welcome after the earlier miserable experience at the Crowne Plaza, Heathrow.

On my latest stay at the hotel I found the staff to be wonderfull , and their curry night on a Friday was superb. The executive bedroom was very clean and warm. Well done

Dear Readers, As an avid user of Trip Advisor I trust all the reviews out there. Please trust me on this one... do NOT stay at this hotel. Aside from receiving the worst service ever, upon entry to the kitchn we discovered meat lying around uncovered, flies on the food, filthy floors, stale fish defrosting.. What can I say... someone PLEASE call the health inspectors. Was a pretty standard holiday inn. Kids liked the pool. Gym was pretty basic. Got a great weekend rate for the room so was good value. Nothing to get excited about but a safe bet.

Firstly if you’ve booked here the room's probably going to be fine. Nothing special, bland but clean. I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions over the last 6 months and that’’s probably the only positive thing I can think to say about the place. The negatives include: Location: stuck out on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead next to an industrial estate and about a mile from the M1. I stayed at Holiday Inn on three occasions over the last 3 months and I have to say that the Service recieved was far better than any hotel I have stayed at in Hemel Hempstead previously. They now have High speed internet access in the bedrooms and lobby , also the restaurant menu and staff were fantasic compared to previous experience. What a refreshing change to see happy staff.

My team and I stayed at this hotel whilst working in the area. From the second we arrived it was a total nightmare. We were supposed to stay on a coprorate rate and the manager called our offices to verify that we worked there. They then called our rooms and asked us all sorts of questions in the hope that they could prove that we were imposters not truly entitled to the discount. Stayed one night only, room excellent. Used the pool, steam room etc. Staff in the gym area were exeptionally helpful. Will definately return soon as we have relatives in the area. Easy access to the motorway and also the town centre.
