We went in June 2011. Before going we were a bit apprehensive after reading a few dodgy reviews, on arrival all worries were dismissed, great service, our caravan was brilliant (we only asked for a 2 bed but got a 3) with all gadgets required. Very clean caravan and site we loved it and my 2 sons of 4 and 18 months did.

We have just returned from a five day stay at Greenacres. Wehave stayed at Haven sites previously and so had a good idea of what to expect. This site is one of the nicest Haven sites we have stayed at. The site both outside and in the complex was clean. The reception staff... more

Just returned from a 4 night midwwek stay at the Haven Greenacres site. My initial thoughts when booking were that this was a good value break at £415. How wrong could I be. The money you pay really is just for the accomodation (booked a Deluxe and would be interested to... more

Just returned from a short break here, was a little concerned after reading some of the other reviews but was very pleasently surprised. After a slight mix up to begin with (given a caravan with people already it in), was then given a larger caravan a stones throw from the... more

Thoughts on a recent trip to greenacres: Caravan fine (superior plus - wouldn't go any lower), bed comfy, need more utensils in kitchen and a cooler fridge (bearing in mind it was the hottest weekend of the year). Site clean, nicely laid out, mountain views, swimming pool... more

Excellent, will definitely be back
We booked this holiday via the Sun £9.50 holidays. I've been to 3 different Haven sites; Lakelands (which was not good at all) , Perranporth in Cornwall which was really good and now Greenacres, which was the best of the three. I upgraded to a superior caravan which cost me an extra £40. I brought my own linen. My Satnav brought me to the site via a narrow road, its best to go via Bewys o Coed which is a main road. Our caravan was really nice; no double glazing though, so we always bring a fan heater for when it gets cold. If you are trying to light the gas hob, you need to lift the cover of the hob right back, otherwise it won't light. The site has a nature reserve next to the beach which was really nice, lots of sand dunes and rare birds and fauna. The bar on the complex was really good, meals for £2.99. There is a really good crazy golf pitch next to the bar and a lovely swimming pool which was very popular and looked really well maintained. There is a large decked area arounfd the bar. They also have a ten pin bowling alley. It rained every day that we were there, but we still found lots to do, there is a slate mine nearby which is open in all weathers, you go underground, so it doesn't matter if its raining. We also went to Snowdon and took the tram because of the weather. Llandudno is nearby and the Great Orme is well worth a visit, and there will soon be a direct steam train from Porthmadog to Carnarvon. We had a fabulous time at Greenacres and we would recommend it highly We really enjoyed
Great location & facilities
Visited for a long weekend recently. Weather appalling but place more than made up for it! Staff courteous- entertainment which can, let's be honest be a bit cheesey at these places, was above average. On site shop didnt rip you off, decent indoor pool, activities all day every day and campsite links onto a footpath to a glorious beach. Stayed in a bronze caravan that slept 6- comfortable, no noise from onsite bars...a very pleasant break. Loads to do nearby- Snowdonia National Park, Steam Railway, Portmerion etc. I would suggest you bring extra sleeping stuff as the quilts they supply are a bit flimsy.
