Express by Holiday Inn Hotel

This hotel is well located close to junction 14 of the M1. It has been recently renovated and is clean. The rooms are quite large but basic. The rooms have recently had air-con fitted which also serves as the room heating. Unfortunately this arrangement is inefficient -the heater isn't sufficient in the winter. In the summer rooms can be noisy -ask for something on the third floor; most business users stay up there because it is free from people staying over for concerts etc. Things can get a bit rowdy on occassions. Check-in - Efficient and hassle free. Bedroom - Clean but poorly lit. Bathroom - Frayed towels and an overwhelming smell of raw sewage experienced during the night that appeared to be coming from the bathroom. I closed the bathroom door and turned on the light to activate the fan. This helped a little. No hot water in the shower or basin during the morning. Staff response to my complaint was staggering. A very standard, basic hotel. It's modern and comfortable, and the staff are friendly. But it was certainly not cheap for a place that's only a small step up from a Travelodge.

I spent two nights here, a week apart. It's in a good location for access to the M1 and is only a short drive from the centre of Milton Keynes. There is a Harvester pub across the car park which serves standard chain pub meals. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that they have chosen the most expensive internet provider for their wi-fi access. This is totally at odds with their budget room pricing.

Having stayed in a good number of Express by Holiday Inns in the UK and Europe, I would say that this is one of the friendliest. The hotel is large, and currently undergoing some renovation to its reception and other areas - though this caused no problems for our stay, so I wouldn't let that put you off. It's conveniently situated for the M1 and just a few minutes' drive from Milton Keynes shopping/business district.

Excellent service and rooms are in excellent conditions!! Taxi service available and Just in Time. Good food and good environment too.

The rooms are fine and as the title suggests are what you would expect. This hotel has been extended recently with many extra rooms added. The only thing they haven't extended is the breakfast area. This can be very busy and disorganised which tends to spoil the stay. Apart from the breakfast area, I have stayed there many times and never had a problem (one of my colleagues got stuck in the lift once but I don't count that!).

Friendly Staff. Excellent if you want to unwind with the family. Interlocking double rooms are excellent. Breakfast set up is spotless. Perfect for Business Travelers also because there is internet access "Wireles". Great for all of my needs. Highly Recommended. Less than 1 mile from M1 Exit 14.

Have stayed at this hotel on many occassions and the staff are #1. Be sure to ask for the Susan, she is always happy and friendly. A GREAT lady! Good value hotel and hoping it stays that way!
