Cheshunt Marriott Hotel

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times on business trips, with stays lasting anywhere from one night to two weeks. Service is always friendly and usually attentive at the front desk, though communication is some-times a bit difficult with international staff members. Rooms are clean, quiet, and well-furnished. An excellent package with an extremely comfortable and clean room, probalby the most comfortable bed I have experienced in a hotel. We were on the gound floor with a room overlooking the inner courtyard which was a pleasant area to sit. Staff very helpful and clearly trying to operate under the "USA" service ethic and it is very apprarent that every member of staff makes that extra effort. we have just come back from staying at the hotel for the weekend as a birthday treat, we arrived on the saturday and had a bar lunch which was great, that night we ate out and came back early to have a drink at the bar, to get served for two glasses of wine it took twenty minutes even though the bar was not buisy, how ever the best was sunday at breakfast, we had received a memo to say come down before the ten o'clock rush, which we did, what a shambles there were many empty tables that had not been cleared away so we endured a twenty minute... more

An excellent hotel. Staff extremely curteous and friendly. We felt most comfortable and at home.

I stayed here over the New Year and would like to say the staff were excellent, courteous and responded to our needs and requests quickly and efficiently, the food was excellent and the cost of our stay was far less and much better value than other hotels in the area - a very satisfied customer

What stands out at this hotel are the excellent bedrooms, refurbished earlier in 2005. They have Marriott's new bed with outstanding duvets, pillows and comfy beds. The rooms are light and airy, and nicely spacious. Public areas are a little dated, but are due to be refurbished within the next year. As you'd expect from Marriott, the service was friendly and helpful. We had canapes at the hotel which were very nice. Enjoyed our stay very much at this Hotel. Have just returned from a overnight stay, having been in the area for a reunion party. Having stayed at this Hotel some six years ago, we thought we would do so again and are very glad we did. We booked a delux n/s room which was excellent. Huge soft comfy bed.Spotlessly clean, could'nt have asked for more. We booked on a bed and breakfast deal. The breakfast was excellent. The choice varied and plentiful. Stayed at the Marriott for the first time for a weekend in June with our family (baby & toddler). The hotel was very clean & tidy, plenty of parking spaces, rooms was excellent value (deluxe room B&B for £64.00 - bargain!). There were 2 lovely beds, a cot provided FOC, all staff lovely, leisure facilities great, nice little courtyard. Breakfast in the morning was delicious! Would recommend this hotel and would stay there again, especially for the price.

We had a family party at the Marriott Cheshunt last weekend (Sunday 5pm ) in the run up to the event the staff were very helpful and friendly, but on the day the service and some of the food was really not good, The food wasn’t served together, some guests had finished eating and others hadn’t even received there’s yet. my main course was not hot. I can only think that the food for our main course was leftovers reheated from the earlier carvery. The hotel was a standard marriott hotel nothing amazing but not dirty or tatty. They are in a good location for all major motorways and the parking facilities are good. The only thing that ruined the stay was the rude staff I work for a hotel booking agency and the customer service was TERRIBLE!! The reception staff didn't even look at us when we were checking in and continued thoughout the weekend just to be generally unhelpful and arrogant. Overall the weekend was ruined by the staff and there lack of communication skills.
