Avoid this place like the plague!!...

Avoid this place like the plague!! Cockroaches inside room - rats outside. I would put this room at 1 star - not 3 stars. If you want to get a sun bed - you have to get up at 3 or 4 am to put your towel on or else you don’t get one. There were plenty of dirty, broken sun beds but I would not use them the condition they were in. some people had the sun bed situation sussed - they were taking them into the rooms at night.
One morning I watched 2 cleaners with a hosepipe hose all the rubbish from the poolside and into the pool!!!!! I really could not believe this. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. The reps were the most un-helpful I have ever come across and when I was complaining they took great delight in going behind the corner and pulling faces and taking the mickey - they didn’t realise I could see them. I can only describe my week there as a living nightmare.

Jun 2004, Mrs L Younger

If you want a relaxing holiday do not go to BouganHELL
To get a sun bed you need to set the alarm for 3am, and then if you are lucky enough to get one they are broken and mouldy. We arrived expecting Mallorca's best sun centre. Oh how we were wrong, I wish I had taken my camcorder to send it to Holidays from Hell. If you have a studio do not expect beds, they are uncomfortable sofa beds and grotty camp beds. After complaining to the reps nothing was done.
Cleaning is unheard of here; we had dead cockroaches for over a week, not to mention sharing our beds with them. Despite the reps denying it we had fresh rats droppings each morning on the so-called veranda. Overall hygiene not good, we watched them hose down around the pool and all the rubbish went in to it, we couldn’t go in after that.
Around the pool you are packed in like sardines and have no private space at all. Entertainment, well I can not sing and I can not dance but I could have done better myself, reps on the make and have no interest in the guests. All are rude and just there for the fun! Overall this hotel needs closing down we had to pay to move to another for our second week. Come on MY TRAVEL sort it out people are paying good money for HELL.

Bouganvilla is a complete rip off; the only nice thing I can say about this complex is its pool. It’s tacky, the reps are dreadful and someone really should tell them they couldn’t sing. We had a good holiday but only thanks to The Sportsman Bar where we ate and drank every night and always had a good time. We watched the entertainment twice in the "Bogganvilla" and would rather have paid a visit to the dentist.

This was our first holiday with the children, and we could not fault it (apart from the overpriced bar). The accommodation was very clean, and very colourful - like living in Balamory. The food was fine and there was always something for the children to eat.
The entertainment was excellent, the team worked really hard. OK it was a bit like Butlins in the sun, but when you have two small children going to the Caribbean is no longer affordable! What more do you want than to relax around a lovely pool, have your meals cooked for you and be entertained? The Bouganvilla has it all!! I think anyone with young children will struggle to beat it!

Jun 2004, Mrs J Cook

This place is unreal! No holiday at all, no sleep because of all night arrivals and departures dragging cases past the rooms, drinks were an extortionate price and not nice at all, food terrible - we didn’t know what bones would be on the menu next but it didn’t really matter because there was no meat on them anyway.
Reps were rude and couldn’t care less. When asked if she knew what the weather forecast was one of them said, "haven’t got a clue", hang on a minute but I thought such a small piece of information would have been standard for a rep in a holiday resort. The entertainment was rubbish, my cat can sing better and the kids club did not provide the kind of activities it said in the brochure, even after standing for 30 minutes (after the doors opened) in the burning sun with children and no shade.
The bar and restaurant staff were rude and obviously in pain working there. Be prepared to clean your own toilet as the cleaners won’t touch it, they just make the beds and sweep through once a week. 3 star, I don’t think so. This was the worst holiday we have ever had and it cost us a fortune as we had paid for food and then had to go out to eat most nights.
Still waiting for feedback from airtours, but then I bet my questionnaire went out of the box into the bin along with the letter accompanying it. I expect a clean place to sleep, nice food and some entertainment on holiday in a complex like this, not a lot to ask for our hard earned cash and once a year break. I will never go again and would recommend you don’t go at all, choose somewhere else, we couldn’t wait to come home.

Bouganvilla Park Apartments are a fantastic complex for couples and families. The pool and entertainment is second to none. The only thing lets it down is its bar and food prices are way too high compared to the rest of resort. Try going to the New Inn, the Sportsman and The Kings Head for great food and drink, much much cheaper and better food.
The apartments are a good size and very clean and the staff very helpful. The train to the beach is very useful, but walk down first for about 1 mile to find out where everything is on the way to Sa Coma.

We visited Bouganvilla in 2004 as this was our first holiday abroad so it had an important role to play for us.
As we didn’t arrive until 5:30 am we didn’t really get to look at the place but we spent at least 45 min looking for our apartment. The apartments were clean and spacious. Our children have grown up now but I would definitely go back to the Hotel Bouganvilla.

May 2004, Mrs L A Woodcock

We have searched the Internet long and hard before travelling to these apartments and were slightly apprehensive about going. But can I just say ignore all the negative comments that you will find.
We went in May in a large group (Trotters on Tour - if you were there) we found the hotel very nice and clean, lots of entertainment, excellent pools (5). The bar was slightly expensive in the Big Top but you could not complain about the evening entertainment and boy did the reps work hard with the children. If you don’t want to see your kids during your holiday, this is the place to go. Food was good. All staff were friendly and the maids work their a***s off to keep such a large hotel clean and tidy.
So I would just like to say if you are planning a family holiday to Mallorca this is the place to go and don’t listen to the bad press that this place gets.
We don’t believe in going back to the same place twice but we will make an exception to the rule for the Boogie. FANTASTIC.

Oct 2003, Mr T M Perkins

Best holiday I’ve had. (Apart from weather was a bit temperamental - It was October!) I loved the Bougie. It was very clean, tidy and well looked after and all the staff was brilliant. It is a very well run and efficient complex and I will definitely go back as soon as possible. (I want to go back for my next holiday but I don’t think that will happen, haven’t been to the same place twice yet! Dad likes to try new places)
I don’t think I’d go back in October though as it was quite wet, although still warm enough for me! Also a lot of the quiet resort of Sa Coma was closed towards the end of our two week stay as it was the last weeks of the season before they closed for the winter so everywhere was running down their stocks of food and drinks and then closing. This was a problem when it rained because it meant there wasn’t much you could do.
None of this mattered to me however as I thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and we had at least as many days of hot, clear sunny weather as we did of warm, cloudy rainy weather.
If you do go, be sure to go to Christy’s Bar (I think that’s how you spell it!) They are wonderful people and we became quite good friends with the owner and she gave us a nice picture to take home. I wish we’d got their address so we could have kept in contact. Also go to the New Inn on the way down into town. Also superb! English owned. Cheap as well.
In fact everyone we met in Sa Coma, in fact everyone we met in Mallorca were so friendly, they are all wonderful people and they will do their best to help you enjoy your holiday, the same goes for all the Airtours staff at the hotel.
Especially the entertainment crew. They do a wonderful job. All the people that say the entertainment is bad, I disagree, I liked it. It wasn’t brilliant (a bit like Butlins) but it is ideal for kids, which is who it is aimed at really. It is also loads better than most hotels I’ve stayed in, some didn’t even have entertainment every night! And most the ones that did, it is normally Karaoke or stuff like that. They have some quite good shows of an evening though if you stay past the bingo and the kids disco with the Mimic Man and Cartoon Heroes (which I also enjoyed and bought the CD of as a souvenir! I am sad aren’t I?)
Anyway, I got to go now but the Bouganvilla (Bougie) is well worth a stay and your holiday will be a very memorable and happy one.

Surely it’s about time that someone told the truth about this complex! Two words to sum up Bouganvilla Park: 'WORN OUT'
Worn out apartments, worn out furniture and worn out staff. Even the trees around the complex looked old and tired.
I can honestly say that this is genuinely one of those places I would not stay at again even if I was offered money to do so.
Shop and bar prices are expensive but without a premium service.
To be fair some (but only some) of the staff did try and make the best of a bad job. The others had slipped into 'worn out' mode.
To maximise the occupancy the tour operator is happy to allow arrivals and departures throughout the night. (very profitable I’m sure! Just a shame that no money has been re-invested to improve the experience for the poor mugs that believed what they read in the brochure.

I think I slept one night in three (tile floors combined with wooden chairs and suitcases being wheeled along can really make a racket at 2, 3, 4 and 5 A.M. Save your money and go to Cala D or!
