The bouganvilla complex is lovely. The children loved the new water park play area. All inclusive is the way to go, as pubs and restaurants are quite a walk away if you want choice. The staff were very helpful and polite. The food was lovely, can get a bit samey but there are 3 restaurants to choose from. The train to take you to the beach can get very busy, so make sure you get to the stop as soon as you can, otherwise its a 25 minute walk to the beach and shops, and thats if you don;t have young children walking with you.
The hotel ask you not to put towels out on sunbeds but everybody does and by 7.30 you would be lucky to find one. They also ask you not to take inflatables in the main pool, but again everybody does. So just go with the flow and don't worry about it.
Be aware that at the evening entertainments there are bouncy castles and rides and stalls, these cost extra, so if you have children be prepared with some extra money for these.
All in all it was a lovely holiday and we are sad to come home.

  • Holiday Date:Jul 2011
  • Advice: Try all three restaurants to see which one you like, and get to breakfast before 9am as it can get very busy.

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Bouganvilla in Sa Coma. Our appartment was spot on and cleaned every other day. Our children, aged 12 and 10, had plenty to keep them occupied with the 6 pools and the selection of activities put on by the entertainment team. We were all-inclusive and had the choice of dining in 3 different restaurants- the food was lovely and there was something for everyone. The free train/bus to Sa Coma town runs every half hour but it is just as easy to walk down- only took us 15 minutes. Weather was beautiful.Hotel very busy but we never had any trouble getting served at the bars. All in all, we had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend this hotel for families.

Moaning for the sake of moaning

i have just recently got back from the bouganvilla park aparments in sa coma and i have to say, the people who wrote the bad reviews must have misstaken this place for somewhere else because i could not find fault with this place
Apartment - Spotless, a little on the small size but who actually stays in their aparment in the daytime? your on holiday! GO OUTSIDE ITS SUNNY, no air-con but hired a fan so not too much problem sleeping.
Food - Brilliant, a lot of choice, its impossible to disslike everything!
Childrens Play Area - small but easily enough for the kids, my kids wanted to swin most of the time as did all the other children
Pools - Massive, plently of room, never overcrowded, safe, clean, lots of activity, YOU CAN EVEN SIT IN A RUBBER RING ALL DAY IF YOU LIKE which is unusual as people normally give you dirty looks for doing that everywhere else
Entertainment - Brilliant, its no x factor but easily enough to keep you occupied and spent NO MONEY, we were all inc so did not go off site during the evenings, why should we, everything is free!!!!!
i cannot say a bad thing about this place, i seriously think the people who moaned about this place were moaning for the sake of moaning. this is obviously a family holiday park and adults and children WILL find this place to be brilliant!!! i promicr

I booked with Thomas Cook to go to Sa Coma in Majorca an to stay at the Bougnavilla Park, with Myself, husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law and also our 4 kids. We departed Belfast on 18th June 2011 and returned home 25th June 2011.
After reading several reviews on different sites including this one i was absolutely dreading it! But i need not have worried we all had an absolute ball!!! There was entertainment on threw out the day and night!!! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and they couldnt do enough to make sure you enjoyed your stay. Now fair dos the food wasnt up to much so i was glad that we went self catering but sure when your in the heat you hadly eat anyway!!!!
I would totally recommend this holiday to any families!!! I loved it that much that i came straight home and boked for next year for 11 nights and we cant wait!!!
So please dont listen to other people just go and youll see for yourself that the Bougnavilla Park is a fantastic holiday!!!! Whats the saying you just cant seem to please some people!!!!!

Came back this afternoon after a 10 day stay at the bouganvilla apartments sa coma.
Was with my partner and our daughter 3yrs. The hotel was great, so much for kids to do, a choice of kids swimming pools one with a huge water play area which was so much fun.and 1 quite one at the back of hotel.(the complext in huge take time to walk around, the gardens are beautiful) also kids club 2 play parks and a disco ever night. the entertainment staff were AMAZING !entertainment every night for adults and 4 shops on site.
The resort is great too, really quite but only 10min walk to main streets with bar shops and resturants.
Food in hotel could be better but plenty to choose from most of the time... overall an amazing holiday !! big smiles all round.

just come back from staying at the bouganvilla apartments and what a fantastic time had by all. we was all nervous about going after reading the negative reviews. but what aload of rubbish. the hotel was spotless and the cleaner came monday, wednesday and friday if we asked for owt they came straight away. all the staff was very friendly and couldnt do enough for you. on arrival there was a rep who came to have a chat and told us about the hotel. at meal times there is three restaurants to choose from and the meals was gorgeous. where usually fussy eaters but it was all nice. the pool is excellent and the kids loved the pool with the waterpark and he also had choice 2 other pools and there was always plenty of sun loungers. the beach is about 20 minutes walk or the hotel offeres you a free train ride which takes 5 mins which kids loved. it was self service at the bar for lager and drinks and wasalso plenty of staff to serve if wanted spirits. there is a creche if needed whiched looked lovely but didnt use and always activities during day for children with reps . on a nite there was choice of two bars 1 neer big top with night time entertainment which was brilliant and 1 near pool and was always places to pick. the hotel does get busy but lots of staff to help around. i have not been home a week and am looking to book again its cheap as chips and worth every penny. dont listen to negative reviews give it a try u will be surprised. there is also 3 supermarkets on site also 1 more thing if you do go self catering the room as all cutelry e.g. kettle, fridge and freezer etc x

Just got back from bouganvilla june 2011. after reading rubbish reviews we where really worried about staying their, BUT what a load of RUBBISH the reviews where!!!!!
THe food you couldn't fault it there was something for everyone, entertainment was fab especially for the kids. There where enough pools and things to do so you didn't get bored. The kids club was excellent!!!! The hotel staff where helpful and the holiday reps where great too. Only thing i will say is the rooms smelt a bit damp but we weren't in them long so could put up with that, rooms where clean and tidy, The shops where open all day til late evening. I would say a brill place to take kids mine loved it and my oldest wanted to live their lol. Can't imagine it would be much fun without kids so wouldn't reccomend to an older couple or people that have never had kids. All in all had a brill time and will be thinking of going again :-)

just returned from 11 nights all inclusive at the bouganvilla, can honestly say the only nice things about the place were the pools and the entertainment staff. most ov the people i was on holiday with ended up with bad stomach after a couple ov days, (which we put down to the food) the food was edible but nothing special for the amount we paid for our holiday. the main restaurant had an awful smell when u walked in and the staff were very rude, u only had to put your cutlery down to have a drink and they were behind u to take your plate we had to tell them quite often that we werent finished. the all inclusive drinks werent very good either san miguel or if u dont like lager it was the cheapest spirits possible, and if u need to drink diet mixers then unless u drink coke theres nothing else for you. the entertainment most nights was the entertainment team doing different things which was ok, the kids loved it but we thought there would have been other things on such as magician or a bird show or something other than singing and dancing. we also had a problem waiting for our transfer coach, because there was no reps on the bus so people who were getting picked up later than us got on our coach to get to the airport first so we had to wait for 50 minutes and then had to practcally run through the airport with 5 young children, we paid a lot for our holiday and also ended up spending more than we expected so that we could go out to eat a decent meal and for some different entertainment.

  • Holiday Date:Jun 2011
  • Advice: only go self catering and eat out at other restaurants.
