Just came back from a weeks stay at the bouganvilla, decided to upgrade from self catering to all inclusive on the second day as the resort was just too far to walk with a young child and often the train was full, the all inclusive was great, i've stayed at 5 all inclusive resorts all over the med and the bouganvilla has the best food by a million miles!! although the queues can be a little tedious. The appartment though unfortunately was just not upto standard, too small, no air con, and the maids were useless the bathroom floor wasn't mopped once and clean towels just dumped where they could find a spot(usually on the floor).

I took my two children to Bourganvilla last August and we have a fantastic time... i am now packing ready to go again and I cant wait. The food was great and the kids were safe to run wild. Its such a friendly place I cant wait to get back on that plane....

  • Advice: Definately go all inclusive if you have children

just back from a 7 night stay at the bouganvilla with my partner and 9month old son. overall wee had a great holiday would go back but maybe not in high season!N0 sun beds unless you get up at 630 and the restraunts extremely busy esp at breakfast very hectic not exactly a pleasant dining experience reminded me of queing for school dinners! free train also way to busy but wee enjoyed the walk and worth it as sa coma is lovely and shops and bars reasonably priced compared to other resorts on the island.hotel entertainment was bit cheesy but all the kids loved it. overall the bouganvilla is not exactly luxury but a great place for some family fun in the sun.

  • Advice: if u have a baby take fold up changing mat as no changing facillites!

Just returned 6th August from a 10 night all inclusive stay. I tried to start with the positives but couldn't find many so here goes with the negatives. The complex in my opinion is too big and the facilities too small. The rooms in our one bedroom apartment were very small and as they are only cleaned Mon, Wed & Fri they were crawling with ants. I informed reception the problem with the ants, but nothing happened. I also asked them to fix a broken camp bed and again nothing happened.
I agree with another reviewers comments regarding the restaurants. Be careful not to leave your plate for a second or the waiters will have taken it away. The main restaurant was extremely busy and I felt it wasn't a relaxing experience as everything felt rushed. The food in my opinion is of a 2 star hotel and unfortunately 5 members of our 10 became ill with diarrhea and stomach flu. Maybe it was caught before we came away, but unlikely as it started after day 8 of our holiday. We ended up eating out two nights.
Another main problem which the hotel needs to address is the wasp situation. My 6 year old got stung in his mouth after one had gone into his can of coke. I can only comment on the pool area next to the big top as that is where we felt it was more relaxing. Be prepared though to get up early as it's a competition to find sunbeds and one morning I watched an overweight woman hurdle through the sunbeds once she saw me coming.
Also be prepared to pay out on a night. The big top area has numerous bouncy castles, bungee jumps etc, all at extra costs. We were also amused to find it costs £12 for an hours game of tennis. Surely the hotel needs to rethink this policy for all inclusive guests.
Now for those positives.... erm the weather??? Seriously, there must be better hotels out there???

Pool great food average. Thomas Cook reps rude and unhelpful.
Apartments disgusting , dirty bedding, grotty towels. Quick whip round
With a bleachy mop every other day. No wardrobe lived out of cases
for a week. Peeling cupboards, dodgy wiring. 'clean towels' left dumped
on floor by maids as nowhere to put them.
No air con hired 2 fans which sounded like aircraft jets, but at
Least thus drowned out the noise of drunk teenagers.
Neighbour had mice in room which when reported, were killed
By maintainance man hitting them with dustpan and brush .
If you want Butlins abroad, this is for you. Entertainment
One night was count the tattoos competition. You get the idea.

  • Advice: Book one of the 6 a/c apartments. Sa coma beach gorgeous .

Before we went i had read several bad reports on here about the hotel so i was dreading what i was going to find, but infact i found none of them true, its a very nice hotel! Weve just got back from a week there with my 2 children and we all really enjoyed it.Our room was very clean and well maintained. The only downfall i found was the entertainment was abit young for my 9 and 14 year old.The pools are all clean and nice, but its a shame you have to be up so early to actually get a sunlounger!!!! The beach is a 20 minute walk away or go on the free busy hotel train, but its a lovely beach when you get there.
Overall we had a great holiday and i would recommend it to anyone that wants a relaxed chilled family holiday!

Just got back from 10 nights at the boogie there were 3 adults and 5 kids age,15,14,9,6 and got to say we were abit wary after reading some of the reviews, but we all absolutly loved it there.
i had a family 2 bedroom appartment with my 4 kids it was spacious and clean it,we had a pool view from our balcony, the maids came in every other day to mop floors and clean bathroom, change towels and give toilet rolls. every morning i saw cleaners around the pool area cleaning the pools and hosing down, emptying bins etc.the pools were good my kids loved the new water park and we spent long hours by the pool having fun.
the food was lovely and had a good choice at every restaurant and food bars.the big top entertainment was brill esp at night time, theres a free train that takes you into sa coma you get dropped off right by the beach which is lovely the reception staff were friendly and helpfull, its good for a 3 star and i would def recomend it...
the only bad points were people putting down towles on the sun loungers by the pools at 6am then leaving them there while they went out for the day so no one else could have them?
and after being there 10 nights the food did get abit samey but i suppose thats buffets for you.
overall was brilliant holiday there and we would def go back :-)

After reading a few poor reviews before we went on holiday to Bouganvilla Park, i was totally wishing we had booked elsewhere, however it was a great family holiday. My boys aged 2 and 4 had a brilliant time. The pools were great and clean, the only down side was the sunbeds were taken by people putting towels on them as early as 6.30 in morning. The entertainment team worked hard all day and night and the kids really loved them. Night time entertainment generally was suited to under 12's I think teens would find it childish, but it was good for my boys. Bingo played at night paid out up to 900 euro's. The only down points where we found it very noisy at night when we were trying to sleep, people were very loud banging doors and stomping up steps, also this complex is a bit out of the way and unless you get the Boogie train to the beach be prepared for a good walk.
We enjoyed our holiday in general and if you want a great tea go to J'J's its well worth a try.

  • Advice: Something needs to be done about reserving sunbeds and the noise during the night from guests.

The bouganvilla complex is lovely. The children loved the new water park play area. All inclusive is the way to go, as pubs and restaurants are quite a walk away if you want choice. The staff were very helpful and polite. The food was lovely, can get a bit samey but there are 3 restaurants to choose from. The train to take you to the beach can get very busy, so make sure you get to the stop as soon as you can, otherwise its a 25 minute walk to the beach and shops, and thats if you don;t have young children walking with you.
The hotel ask you not to put towels out on sunbeds but everybody does and by 7.30 you would be lucky to find one. They also ask you not to take inflatables in the main pool, but again everybody does. So just go with the flow and don't worry about it.
Be aware that at the evening entertainments there are bouncy castles and rides and stalls, these cost extra, so if you have children be prepared with some extra money for these.
All in all it was a lovely holiday and we are sad to come home.

  • Advice: Try all three restaurants to see which one you like, and get to breakfast before 9am as it can get very busy.

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Bouganvilla in Sa Coma. Our appartment was spot on and cleaned every other day. Our children, aged 12 and 10, had plenty to keep them occupied with the 6 pools and the selection of activities put on by the entertainment team. We were all-inclusive and had the choice of dining in 3 different restaurants- the food was lovely and there was something for everyone. The free train/bus to Sa Coma town runs every half hour but it is just as easy to walk down- only took us 15 minutes. Weather was beautiful.Hotel very busy but we never had any trouble getting served at the bars. All in all, we had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend this hotel for families.
