Ibis Coventry South Whitley Hotel

Booked the Ibis Coventry after checking out the Ibis website. Seemed like an alternative to a Travelodge. Clean, basic and cheap. Got there at 9pm, left at 9.05pm. The stench in the room was minging, mould on the walls, steamed up windows. Graffiti outside. So we went to the amazing Hilton Metropole NEC for only an extra £50. I will never, ever use an Ibis again, and I suggest you don't either.

this must be the worst ibis in the uk! rooms are small and seedy! although clean, room 33 has loose carpet and dirty stains on the walls, felt like a cheap us motel. not lazy but no tv remote! with no outside lights on the remote block, hard to find room! staff were very polite!

We stayed here for one night prior to an early morning flight from Coventry airport. Having stayed in quite a few Ibis hotels previously, this one is way off the usual standard. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, but rooms are contained in what can only be described as looking like a prison block. As other posters have said, you expect basic, but Ibis generally provide good, clean service - would not stay here again. First time staying here and definately my last. You would not expect an animal is stay in such conditions!!!!

I've stayed at several hotels in the Accor group before most of which have been Ibis . The Ibis hotel does not pretend to be 5 star luxury but generally they are clean and functional if a little basic. This was the first time I had stayed at the Coventry South Ibis and it will certainly be the last. The hotel consists of a small reception block that houses the reception and small restaurant and the rooms are located in chalet style blocks at the opposite end of a car park. Stayed 4 nights on business. Standard Ibis, Cheap, but more than adequate. Perhaps it is a little isolated, certainly a long way from Coventry centre, but well served with buses.

We booked this Ibis knowing it was south of Coventry, and ideally situated for us- attending the Royal Show at Stoneleigh. On a Saturday night, their tarriff is 37.95 - Fantastic value. They have a day rate from 10 am to 6 pm, not for the local prostitutes, as a previous american reviewer mentioned, (Why book an Ibis for your wife ???? surely she's worth more!!!) but because this is an ideal pit stop coming from the Euro Tunnel heading to Ireland via Holyhead or the other Welsh ports. I booked this hotel through Orbitz for my wife and her friend, as it turns out this hotel offers day rates to the local working girl. This may be a feature or an attraction for the man traveling alone, but I'm not keen on the idea of my wife staying there.

Clean rooms, but they look a little Seedy. Ridiculos florecent light outside the window which CANNOT be switched off.Food seems to look okay, but I didn't want to take the risk. For business travelers only!All in all reasonable value for money,but don't set ur expectations to high
