Brittany hotel better than its 3 star rating.
from GRAEMEMU
Great small hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room compact but recently refurbished so very clean - all you need as a base to explore the city. Good sized bathroom with over bath shower - again refurbished. Lovely self service continental breakfast. No evening meal but guests are allowed to take in their own food and eat it in the breakfast area if required. We ate out anyway as there are plenty of reasonably priced (for Paris) and varied resturaunts close by. Very close to metro station, loads of nearby shops etc. Hotel lift is tiny so not suitable if you can't use stairs - just use it for your cases. Streets can be noisy at night/early morning due to street cleaning but this will be the same outside most hotels. Overall Brittany hotel definitely deserves more than it's 3 star rating. Not too expensive for centre of Paris. We would gladly stay there again. Thoroughly recommended overall package hence top marks.
Yeller manager of hotel
from flowerpowerMexico
The worst experience in my trip to Europe. Just arriving, the manager shouted to my entire family, because of an arrangement from my travel agent, so he charged more for the room. He said I would not find another room in Paris, so take it or leave it. At night, you can here everyone arrive, so you can't sleep. Shame of personnel, good location. Would never stay there again. This guy treats tourists like [--].The rooms are minimal. They make you a favor by receiving your money. Try another hotel, there are many around.
Had a pleasant stay..would love to visit again

+ POINTS : -Very near to Notre dame lorette railway station -Nice room, newly renovated -Modern bathroom(shower only,no bath) -Locker inside wardrobe -Staff was helpful and spoke English. -Nice restaurants and cafes nearby _ POINTS: -Really small lift.. very difficult for 3 pers to fit in that lift and definitely not suitable for big suitcase -No view from window ....not even to the road -Small room but i reckon in Paris u wont get bigger room for this price Overall a nice hotel ...value for money ..i would say..we can buy Disneyland tickets from reception desk ..
Nice little Hotel
from Patsy_Parisi
Great location (20 metres to the metro), very friendly staff, decent breakfast, tiny but clean and functional rooms. Good value for money. I would definitely stay there again.
Friendly staff, good location
from City_Slicking_Hobo
I took my girlfriend for a few days and i used other travellers' reviews to book this hotel. It delivered more than i expected and this made the stay more pleasant than it could have been. Especially since i developed a cold the last couple of days and was kindly offered tea by the very friendly Samira at reception. Location - 2minutes from Metro: Notre-dame de lorette; 25minute walk from Gare du nord! 10min from Printemps/Gallerie Lafayette Room - small size and work was still going on in the common areas however, the fixtures and fittings were of a high quality and left little to be desired. They did have a no eating in the rooms policy though they also let us bring takeaway stuff and have it in their breakfast area. Breakfast - more than enough continental buffet. Loved the fresh orange juice. it suits young people more since the flight of stairs can be tricky for the older hip and the lift is almost the size of a cat (forget swinging it!) We used it once only! We met Samira at reception who was very friendly and tolerated my broken french very well! We really needed a base to explore the city from and this proved to tick all the boxes pretty easily. All in all - i'd stay there again!
Small buy ok-weird staff request
from NexUK
We stayed for a few days at the start of Jan 07. Our room was in the attic, 7th floor so the sloping ceiling and tiny room was not good for a couple both over 5'9. But the decor was lovely and clean. Handy for the south, north and Gare du Nord. Right next to great market style street shopping. But for some reason the female receptionist felt it right to tell us not to eat in our room !?..which we had not and if we were to we would not have made a mess anyway! Very strange indeed and a little rude. However all the other staff were great. The breakfast was a nice touch too.
Good standard hotel
from Ledonach
We spent 4 nights here recently. The hotel is right next to the Notre Dame Lorette metro making sightseeing very easy, within 15min walking distance to the Moulin Rouge and lots of good restaurants around. We booked a standard room which was quite a small room but the bathroom very modern and made up for the room size. Didnt matter too much as we didnt spent much time in the room. All the reception staff and night porters very helpful. The breakfast was basic, fresh baguettes in the morning and ham and cheese, a fruit cocktail, cornflakes and could of done with a better selection of cereal. Mixture of fruit tea and coffee machine. Also the restaurant is layed up ready for guests alocated one crossiant per guest. The hotel is obviously being updated and the rooms have been done already and the corridors wall and carpets are in process. The lighting in the bedroom quite dim but nicely done with a flat screen tv but CNN and MTV in english. The hotel happliy organised a shuttle bus for us for our departure and waved us off. We would stay here again but perhaps have a bigger room with a bath and we had shower only.
Good value for money

Very nice hotel. Value for your money. Rooms are small but very lovely decorated. Clean rooms, renovated. Metro nearby. Only french channels on your TV.
Great!!
from Student123
This really is a great little hotel!! I got the deal through eurostar and wasnt disapointed at all. The room that my boyfriend and I had was obviously one of the newly refurbished ones and it was of a very high standard. The bathroom was nice, clean and spacious too (something I havnt found in the past with Paris hotels!) The reception staff were also lovely and speak good English (neither my boyfriend or I can hardly speak a word!) The area is really sweet and not touristy at all. There are some really nice cafe's and restaurant too, all of which were very welcoming to us Brits! There metro is literaly 2 minutes away which is a real bonus! I suppose if I was to find fault with the hotel the corridor to our room was rather shabby, but then again, you arn't sleeping in the corridor are you? Also the lift is very small, not good for the claustrophobics out there! Other than that I definately recomend this hotel to anyone.

Wea re very pleased to reed such review. I just wanted precise something about the corridor. The renovation of the corridor is not finished because we are still waiting for the fabrics to put on the wall. It should be finished at the beginning of 2007, Hopefully.
Great little hotel for the budget traveler
from A TripAdvisor Member
This small hotel in a non-touristy part of Paris (9th) provides a very attractive option for the budget traveler. The rooms are small but very recently renovated so comfortable and attractive. The breakfast is more ample than the average French petit dejeuner, with croissants and bread, jams and honey, meat and cheese, fruit compote, juices, milk, coffee and tea. For easy access, the foods tend to be prepackaged and the coffee comes from a machine so the quality is not what you would get in a restaurant but is perfectly OK. Staff at the desk speak English and are quite helpful. The hotel is very close to the Metro (the station is literally around the corner) and walking distance (15 minutes) to Gard du Nord, one of the major train stations. It’s very convenient to take the train from the airport to Gard du Nord and thus avoid the high cost of a taxi.

The Hotel is currently under going refurbishment. That was a little inconvenient but the staff were extremely pleasant & helpful. We had a room on the 7th floor and could see a bit of the Sacre Coeur over the other roof tops. The lift is for 2 people at a time but was... more
